Stay warm without weighing yourself down with The North Face Women’s Catalyst Down Jacket. The North Face made the Catalyst from Pertex Quantum, an incredibly lightweight and durable nylon with a soft, comfortable feel. Stuffed with 800-fill down, the jacket delivers all the warmth you need in extreme conditions when you layer it under a shell. A DWR finish protects you from light precipitation when you bust out the Catalyst in town, while a hem cinch cord and elastic-bound cuffs block drafts.

Hello, does this jacket has a store away pouch!?? How big is it? Around 1 liter bottle?

The one pocket can be converted into a store away pouch, not sure about its size. In case you are wondering about how to store the jacket - it compresses really nicely, you can probably stuff it in even less than a 1L bottle.

light, warm, packable & HOOD

What more can I say--a lightweight down jacket with a hood is a must have for me; instant warmth and comfort no matter what. So cozy, and it packs away light and small so you won't even notice it's in your pack until you really need it.

Would this jacket be appropriate for a Mt Kilimanjaro trip in January or would you recommend a heavier option? This would be in addiiton to an outer shell and a soft shell if needed.

In addition to a shell, probably. If you tend to run cold, you might want to go up to the Redpoint Optimus jacket. I know someone who summited Kiliminjaro last February in a Redpoint Optimus and she said she was the only one warm on summit day.

Would this jacket work as my outer layer parka on Rainier like the MHW Subzero or Marmot Greenland?

No--this is much more a layer piece than an outer jacket, although on a day without precipitation you could very much wear it on its own, but for Rainier you would also want a HyVent or GoreTex shell.
