Best hoodie ever?

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size
  • Height: 6' 3"
    Weight: 175 lbs

Alright, I'm going to go out on a limb here, but I'm calling this the best hoodie ever made. Comfortable, uh, yeah. Its like I just sheered a sheep and stamped North Face on it, and its not even wool. It fits great, great pockets, thumb holes are great too. Get on board this train, I'll never own another hoodie as long as this one lasts. #Besthoodieever

Not bad

For the price I got this for its not a half bad zip up. I'm really tall so I look for thumb-hole sweaters, as it gives me the length I need. I'm 6'3 about 190 tall lean build and it fits fairly well. A little tight in the shoulders, shorter waist length, and I wish it had a pull string around the waist, but it's fine without. I'm from Minnesota, so I personally think it fairly warm, but I could see how other people might not if you're not used to cold climates. It's a greater fall car runner

Color is off

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: Runs large
  • Size Purchased: Large

Fits ok. Large is slightly big for 6'1" 180lbs. Red is actually dark red/Martin with grey.

Awesome Product!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Height: 5' 10"
    Weight: 170 lbs
    Size Purchased: Medium

Great fit, and great jacket. I'm normally between a small and a medium but the medium fits perfect in this instance. Enjoy the fit of this jacket so much I bought another in a different colour!

Like the shirt much, runs very small

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Height: 5' 9"
    Weight: 185 lbs
    Size Purchased: L

ok, The North Face makes great clothing... we all know that. While this is another outstanding product, it is definitely form fitting and runs very small.
It was so tight I couldn't ware myself so I gave it as a much appreciated gift (to someone much smaller than myself) and I think I'll order the next size up.

Great Product!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size
  • Height: 6'
    Weight: 165 lbs
    Size Purchased: Large

This medium-weight fleece jacket is a great layer for skiing or a stand-alone everyday jacket for cool mornings. Chest pocket easily fits a smartphone, and paneling design keep the jacket from bunching up when sitting or climbing. Smooth outer finish of the fabric helps dirt and dust to be easily brushed off, and should prevent a lot of pilling from velcro backpack straps.

Semi-athletic fit means room for additional layers but not a lot of excess material.

The thumbholes in the sleeves are a little short (sleeves get tight if I use them), but I don't use them often so not a big problem. Another slight annoyance is the windbreak fabric behind the zipper, which can get caught if you aren't careful with the initial zip-up.

Love it!

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
  • Fit: True to size

Thumbholes are the best invention ever! I bought this jacket for a friend as a gift, and he loves it! The color was a little off, but he's expected that as he ordered online many times and sometimes the color of the picture doesn't match what you see online. The fit is true, yet a little more "athletic" (as someone else mentioned) than expected, but the thumbholes are great!!!

Exactly what I wanted

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

Bought this to replace an old zip up hoodie I liked wearing around town or going to the gym. This did not disappoint. Absolutely love the thumbholes on this. The hood is more designed for going over a helmet, but it works by itself pretty well. The face fabric is more of a stretchy soft shell, not soft/plush, but I like it. No complaints on this. The fit is more athletic than normal, which is way different than my NF wind fleece, but again, this is designed for climbers and being active so it's no surprise. I think this will be a good spring/fall hiking sweater as well. Though I doubt it'll offer too much protection in the wind. Hand pockets are a little higher than normal so I bet they'd work great with a harness.

Better Than Expected*

  • Fit: True to size

This zip-up is true to size. purchased the "Rage Red" and the color was spot from the online photo. Backcountry is the BEST and always has the sweetest deals. I am a very satisfied customer!

Exactly what you expect

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

This product runs true to size. Bought it on a whim, didn't really need it. Its a comfortable layer to wear in the early fall late summer months. On top of a t-shirt you can ride a bicycle in 55 degree weather and maintain that not too cold not too sweaty zone.
The fit and finish are what you expect from TNF. This is more akin to a stretching soft shell type material and not much like a fleece.
I'm happy with my purchase.
At about 5'9" and 180lbs I should have bought a medium instead of a large.
