Nice Gift

I bought this jacket as a present for my mother and she seems to like it a lot. Recently she has worn this on a vacation to central California when is was really windy and around 40-60 degrees. She mentioned the jacket did a great job breaking the wind and the hood really worked well. The only downside to this jacket is the liner has some drawbacks like the arms pull in when taking the jacket off. It has a latch to prevent that but it doesn't always work. the other drawback is she can't wear a thick under layer. Other than that the jacket is holding up great.
Perfect Coat!!!

I love this coat! I have used the shell and entire coat in the past month! The liner was my motivation in buying this coat but have really liked the shell too. As spring approaches I will probably use the shell more than I thought I would. A little boy told his mom the liner felt like a soft teddy bear.
looks nice

I bought this jacket as a gift for my daughter. To me it doesnt seen very heavy but it does look nice and she say's its warm .I got it when it was on sale and after checking what other places were charging I guess I recieved a fair value as it is a brand name . Still for myself I wouldnt pay over $200 or for that matter even over $100 for any jacket ...brand name or not.

i'm having the same problem as a previous poster (Eileen). The fleece is soft but it's shedding like crazy! I can't wear it anywhere without people saying: "did you buy a cheap fake?" or "why are you shedding black fur?"
Great jacket

bought this for my daughter and it fits her perfectly! She loves the feature of interchanging the lighter weight jackets inside, while wearing the outer shell when it is colder.

The fleece lining is shedding everywhere. On my clothes, the floor, my scarf. I shook it out and it still is shedding. What do you advise? For the money and the reputable name, I wouldn't expect this poor quality. I have several fleeces and never had a problem before.

same with me. i didn't want to put it through the washer and test it to see if that'll solve the problem. if it doesn't, then i'm stuck with a crappy product. So i just returned it.
love it, but arms are tight

I love this jacket. It keeps me so warm. Love that it is two jackets in one. The only complaint I have is that the arms are a little snug. I got a large and it fits good, but the arms. It's hard to wear anything thick Under it.

When will you offer women's jackets in XXL? Not all of us are tiny and petite. I have searched everywhere for the jacket I love (it KLLED me to send it back!) but can only find an XL. Men's colors are too dark. Here in Minnesota we need to be able to wear a sweater underneath it to stay warm at 20 below zero. Please reconsider?

Hello! I live on the Lynn Canal, a fjord in northern Southeast AK. The wind rips about 30 knots all winter on top of temps in the teens and 20s. I don't give a crap about style, I just need to know that this jacket is going to keep me warm for cold walks on the beach. What is it rated down to, do you know? Thanks!

Hey Lauren, I don't know the rating but if you look at my review I just posted I do think this jacket will meet your need of blocking the wind and keeping you warm. For context, my mom is a big wimp when it comes to being cold and she hasn't had any complaints.
My favorite!

This is the first winter jacket that I bought and LOVED very much! I can't wait to wear it for snowboarding this winter. I like the fact that all I have to wear underneath is a long-sleeve shirt and I can stay warm in the first storm we had last night here in NYC. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a great warm and comfortable jacket for this winter. It doesn't look puffy and it outlines my curve so I still feel very stylish wearing it. They had it delivered to my house super fast and everything was in great condition. LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!

UPS delivered my new jacket today and I absolutely love it! This is my second North Face Boundary Triclimate Jacket and this time I got the Baroque Purple/Teaberry Pink. Last time, I got the Retro Pink. I love the colors of both but the Baroque Purple actually looks almost like a purplish-brown. It's still nice looking though!
Gotta love Backcountry.com! They're returns and customer service are almost TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE!...until you realize they are just that awesome!:D

Here are some information about my body . I'm 5,6 . About 130 pounds. ( I'm a slim woman but I'm also athletic ( my upper body , arms and shoulder are a little bit toned and it will get more ) I'm usually small or medium .. I dont like anything tight on me but also i dont want anything big so it wont look good on me. For this type of jacket , should medium , be fine ? I'm sending a pic of me so it might help! Thanks a lot ! Looking forward to hear from you guys soon

Hello! I am about the same build as you, but in my late teens. This jacket would have fit me in a small and an extra small, but the area where you would bend your arms (the front part of your shoulders) was very tight, so I went with a medium! That way you will also have room to add another sweatshirt underneath! Hope that helped!

I bought this jacket two weeks ago and I'm very satisfied. It keeps me warm and is wonderful for rainy days. I go hiking a lot and didn't get disappointed yet. The material is very good, the pockets are soft and keep the hands warm. The design is very nice and points out the female figure. Only negative point for me is that the jacket is made in China. :-( But everything else is very good.

Got this for my Mom for her birthday and she loves it. She wanted a jacket that would keep her super warm without having to wear a ton of layers underneath. This accomplishes that task. Plus, the fleece separates from the jacket and is super cute to wear by itself when you're done skiing. Purple color is bright!
