With its insulated panels that protect your outdoor-fanatic's upper core, The North Face Boys' Bordon Insulated Fleece Jacket is like a beefed-up version of the best-selling Denali jacket. On its own in spring, the Bordon offers warmth, serious breathability, and some protection against light precip, and as a mid-layer under a waterproof shell, it provides substantial warmth while your boy tackles winter.

  • Heatseeker Aero insulated areas at the shoulders, chest, back, and arms feature DWR-coated polyester ripstop to fend off cold wind and light moisture
  • Soft, smooth nylon taffeta lining feels great against the skin if he's wearing only a tee and glides smoothly over heavier layers in colder temps
  • Fleece body offers substantial warmth with a high level of breathability to keep an active dude comfortable
  • Elastic binding at the cuffs and hem help keep body heat in and chilly air out

My son 6 1/2 and average size. What size should I get so he can grow into it?

Responded on

There are so many factors that could change the outcome of that answer, but if your son is the absolute average then I would suggest putting him in a size Small. The North Face designs their boys small to fit the average boy from ages 6-8. This should give your sun a good year or two in this jacket.
