The first REAL test of the warmth of this jacket came the Sunday before Christmas when a nor'easter dumped about 14 inches of snow on us in Boston. My daughter spent about 4 hours building snow caves and igloos before she had to come in but not because she was cold, only because it was dark out!
We are now on a ski vacation on Loon Mtn. in New Hampshire and night snow tubing down the mountain was a blast - never once did I hear her say she felt cold.
Love the jacket and the service from you guys was even better!!! Couldn't believe the jacket came SO quickly.
We will definitely order from BackCountry again.

My daughter is six and the jacket fits her perfectly. The cuffs fit under or over mittens with a secure velcro strap. The insulation is light enough that it does not create a bulky, tight or binding fit. She played in a 2ft. snowstorm for hours and the jacket repelled everything. There were no signs of the jacket or her getting wet at all. The hood has an excellent fit, with technical features that work.
The only conditions she has not been exposed to is really cold weather. An extra layer should take of this fine as there is room in the jacket.
Very satisfied so far.
