A soft, temperature-regulating layer like The North Face Warm Merino Tight makes all the difference when your hot hike turns into a wickedly cold ski descent. Its combination of merino wool, polyester, and polyolefin does just as good of a job of dealing with your excess heat as it does insulating you during the coldest mountain mornings.

  • Mix of fabrics helps the tight breathe, regulate temperature, and resist the build-up of odors
  • Midweight insulation holds in the warmth for morning ski tours and winter camping trips
  • FlashDry thermal technology uses microporous particles in the fabric to encourage the evaporation of moisture in the fabric as well as from skin, which enables evaporative cooling during hikes
  • Flatlock seams and ergonomically placed seams let you move naturally while you ski or board without chafing
  • Elastic waistband secures the tight as you hit jumps or ski bumps

This is an awesome baselayer and keeps you nice and toasty warm when you are out camping in the cold.

Used for both resort skiing and backcountry, and they fit great (tight without restricting movement), stay dry, and keep the stink to a minimum. Definitely recommend them.

very comfortable to wear, also warm enough. but the waist is a little big. I am 34in on waist and M is a little loose, but the legs feel just right

These are rather warm and soft. I found they lack elasticity in the ankle and waistband, not necessarily a bad thing.
