Description

Warm, synthetic insulator that stows in a pocket.

Your last trip of the year into the foggy fall mountains may get a little cold at night, so bring along The North Face Blaze Full-Zip Insulated Jacket for reliable insulation despite the damp and cold conditions. Even though this lightweight synthetic insulator packs down into its own pocket, it has enough warmth-retaining power to preserve your core heat as you bed down inside your backpacking tent. Thanks to FlashDry thermal technology, you stay dry and warm even if your body temps rise a bit around the campfire.

  • Tough, recycled polyester shell (20D) can be worn as a top layer or a mid-layer when things get nasty
  • Polyester insulation (60g) features tiny synthetic fibers that absorb very little moisture, dry quickly, insulate when wet, and compress easily
  • FlashDry thermal technology features microporous particles in the insulation to encourage the evaporation of moisture in the insulation as well as from skin, which enables evaporative cooling during hikes
  • Recycled content reduces fossil fuel consumption and the amount of waste in landfills
  • Baffles help keep the insulation in place over time
  • Full-length zipper provides a little venting when you warm up in the sun
  • Adjustable hem, bound cuffs, and full collar further seal out the cold weather
  • Entire jacket only weighs 10.9 ounces and stows into its own pocket for easy hauling in a backpack or pant pocket
  • Two hand pockets stash hiking or travel essentials within reach
  • Three-color front zip adds a bit of stylish detail to your traveling or time in town

Alright I'm 6', 200 lbs and I got the Large. It fits perfect.

I was a little weary of how thin it was, but I was really surprised. It keeps great warmth, and pretty darn windproof. If your looking for a mid layer or something to stroll around the camp at night, this is what you want.

One thing I would like to note if your going to be doing a lot of strenuous activities in this coat, make sure your wearing a long sleeve smartwool or something directly underneath to wick away some of the moisture. I was just wearing a t-shirt the North Face Blaze, and when I started sweating the Blaze stuck to me like glue. But thats to be expected from materials like that.

Otherwise I really enjoy this coat! I hope I helped!

Very versatile jacket. It's my #1 go to piece. Stuffs into it's own pocket and fits into the bottom of a pack.
Fits true to size. I'm 5'-9" 165 and a M works like a charm. The only thing the sleeves are a tad short but that really helps when you put it under a shell

I was surprised how well this piece insulated, even though it's scant at only 11oz. I wear it under my jackets and don't even notice it's there, until the wind blows and I don't feel it :) - I ordered the Medium size and it fit me great. I will say the arms are fairly short, which is fine for me because I'm only 5'-6"...so if you have long arms and normally wear a Med., I'd size up to the large. Other great thing, it packs down smaller than a 32oz Nalgene...so this will always be in my pack when I need a little more insulation.

Thin. Stylish. Overpriced. The one that I bought is not as asphalt-greyish as in the picture -- darker. Overall feeling: it's an okay product.

I think this is titled incorrectly, this appears to be the non-hooded version of Blaze jacket, not redpoint?
