But sometimes things like nippy temperatures, rogue branches, and well-organized neighborhood-watch initiatives can thwart your enjoyment of jogging in your birthday suit. The North Face created the Better Than Naked Jacket with water- and wind-resistant tech to protect you from the elements during your next cool fall run. And even though your man parts might protest their incarceration at first, this running top has plenty of ventilation panels to keep the air circulating.

I am somewhat tall and skinny at 6'2", 172 lbs., athletic build (chest 42", waist 32.5"). What size would give me the best fit? Also, I hate jackets that are too short on the small of my back. What is the length of the back on this piece of garment? Thanks.

I am a similar build and the large fits me perfectly. Both sleeve and jacket length. It is an excellent jacket.

I got this jacket (if you want to call it a jacket) to run in all conditions. I was tired of feeling weighed down and the bulk of other clothing options bothered me. It's true that this jacket is like running naked. So light! Feels great against the body with a base layer on. I ran for the first time with just this and a icebreaker long sleeve compression shirt under it. It was only 35 degrees outside and windy, yet I heated up quickly and felt fine for 80% of my run. Next time I would add a second base layer if I was running in such cold temps for a long period. The jacket itself is solid. Fits snug and tight to the body. I got a large and it fits me like a medium, which I like! I'm 6'1 190 and the large is perfect! I used the chest pocket for my Iphone and was a little worried the lining might rip or get stretched out do to the weight of my phone and lightness of the jacket. I suggest wearing an armband for phone/mp3 use while running. Paying this much for a super cool running jacket and then ruining it because of something like a phone or mp3 player is dumb. Can't blame North Face for user error. Awesome jacket! Buy with confidence! FYI. This jacket rolls up to a tight ball and weighs NOTHING! Put it in a gear pack, bug out bag, or survival pack and GO!!!

in the video, the jackets have hoods. but i don't see hoods in the pictures.
