I'm looking for a North Face womens down parka but want one that can keep me warm from 0 to 30 degrees Fahrenheit. I already have a parka for 20 to 40 degrees.

This one's not really heavy enough for that. The Mystique would be a good bet, or the Prism Optimus if you're looking for something more technical.

I'm happy with this jacket. I got the silver size Small. Not too bulky but not too thin either. I ordered the Aconcagua TNF before but returned it because it felt too bulky. I've used it several times in 30s temperature and it provides enough warmth.

This jacket makes a perfect down jacket which is very lightweight and could feasibly be used as a liner. On it's own it is reasonably warm, and makes a very warm jacket when paired with a sweater. I've been wearing it around comfortably in 20-30 degree weather. I was also worried the Kodiak Blue would be too blue, but it's a beautiful color.

Bought an XS (5'4" and small build) which fits close - aka I don't look like a blimp - but with room for layers. Can be a little bit snug around the arms with layers on. I definitely recommend this for anyone looking for a lighter winter jacket.

I was looking for a down jacket that was good for North Carolina weather. I wanted something that wasn't too heavy or bulky but was warm enough for 30 - 40 degree weather AND also looked semi-fashionable. I'm 5'9" with a small build and I purchased a medium (which is what I typically purchase in outerwear). I feel like it's true to size.

On a side note, I purchased the jacket at full price and a few weeks later it went on sale. Backcountry didn't even hesitate when I asked for the difference. Not only will I recommend this site to others but I will do my best to purchase all my winter gear from here. Thank you for putting the customer first.

I was looking for a TNF jacket to wear in fall/winter and found this. I like the feel of this, it's not bulky and fits well. I feel the length of the sleeves is just right. I got the Aconcagua before but returned it because it felt bulky. I got the Small in Silver. I'm 5/2 125 lbs. I can wear a sweater underneath and it still fits right.

Hello, Could you please tell me if this will pack up pretty compact? I want to use it for a three day hike where I will likely use in the morning. I need it to fit with other layers in my day pack. Thanks!!

I got this jacket from my dad as a xmas gift in the Baroque purple. Loved the fit, color, everything. Except every time I wore it, dark spots showed up...looked like grease stains or something. But they would show up even if I didn't eat in it or anything.
So, I exchanged it for the black nuptse jacket. I was able to return it with no questions asked even after wearing the jacket multiple times (hoping the stains were a result of my own carelessness with food...don't think they were). Not sure if my jacket was a lemon or if all of them are like this.
Chatted with a customer service employee ONLINE and it was a GREAT experience. Brad was very personable and thorough, making sure I was satisfied and that everything was taken care of. He placed my order for me and gave me everything I needed for the return.
What a great customer service department!

Awesome jacket! Super warm and comfy. Love the collar for windy days ... Protects neck and keeps you toasty. Also love the purple color ... A nice change from the normal black or blue that is everywhere.
