I got this bag cause I pretty much love all of the North Face Base Camp lineup. It's a great size, and has some very cool features. Same great materials, same opening on top as the Base Camp Duffles (which is very convenient), and also has a zipper on the side for side access. On the inside, there is a cool sort of organizer divider that can be attached or let down on the side by a neat little toggle attachment. Not sure how else to describe it. I've never seen this on a bag before, but it is a very cool feature. I showed my sister, and she thought it was extremely cool. Anyways, I think it's a great pack at a great price.

I'd like to buy a The North Face Base Camp Master Cylinder - 1830cu in but I can't tell from the picture if it's made with the same waterproof fabric as the BASE CAMP DUFFEL.

It is not the same material. The Base Camp Duffel has a PVC laminate so essentially it will be much more waterproof.

I'm pretty sure it's nearly the same material...I have one and it is pretty water resistant and a great computer toter....or carry on...and you get stylish baller points.
