Supremely comfortable, well pocketed, lightweight pack!

Wow, what an awesome pack. The harness is extremely comfortable, and the "single strap" load lifter makes adjusting it super easy. Honestly so impressed with this pack - so much pocketing at this weight point. Usually you sacrifice organization / pocketing at this weight but, two lid pockets, front pocket, generous side pockets ,hip AND shoulder strap pockets - It's great! They thought of a lot of niceties - the single compression that loops through the front pocket - strap holders exactly where you want them for every strap - "rest point rubber" to prevent wear on bottom - stretch mesh pockets on shoulder straps - huge hip pockets - tremendous mesh side pockets with clips for when not in use. Seriously it checks all the boxes. A couple tiny annoyances - the bag's "neck" could be longer - there's a true floating lid (thankfully),so why not extend the material up a little further to allow it to "grow" if needed. A little narrow at the bag's middle, but there is a bottom access (with divider if you want to use it), so not terrible. Still great to have a floating lid to throw ropes / tent between the bag and the lid, but, would be nice to have it a bit taller. And, the "zipper cover" on top of the bottom access point could extend over the zipper a bit more for water protection. But, I use a pack liner anyway so, it's all good. Time will tell on the material, but the bottom is double layered. What an awesome, supremely comfortable pack. Doesn't get talked about at all, but, give it a shot if you are in the market for a weekend backpacker that's light while still being comfortable and having a lot of pocketing.

Remarkably Wonderful

I've owned many packs. I love packs. Straps, pockets, zippers, frame design, waist belts, etc. My hips are narrow so I often have to cinch belts very tight or belt/ pack will constantly slide down. That causes constriction of abdomen and can result in digestive problems and tenderness after a few days throttling my midsection to keep a pack where I want it; bearing the weight on my narrow & hard to find hips. Because of my low back pain, I can not tolerate bearing much weight on my upper body. This pack has the best belt fit of any pack I have ever tried or owned. That is a Big Deal. The overall fit of the pack is outstanding. The frame and mesh back compliment the padded belt perfectly. Shoulder straps and single lifter strap system is simple, easy to use, stable, reliable, and allows the pack to conform to my waist and spinal curve better than any other pack ever. Repeated on Purpose. Fit is obviously individual. You might hate it. But I doubt it. Packs in the same weight class lack this waist belt's comfort and adjustability. TNF fails to detail the fact this belt's pockets are essentially integrated sleeves secured by velcro. Those sleeves can be moved quite a lot to allow you to customize the belt's length/fit and position of padding over the iliac crest. This is a critical adjustment for me. Maybe for you, too? Also, I love the reverse buckle strap system! Tremendously more effective at cinching the belt to the waist than the traditional method. Fit. Comfort. Really Important. I am very pleased with the materials and features. This pack has more padding, pockets, and compartments than any pack in it's size and weight class. All day wearability, comfort, and extremely useful features are unparalleled. Seriously, I was unable to find a more comfortable pack that weighed less. On top of that, it has more compartments and features than any comparable backpack.

Ok best pack I've owned

I've used this pack several times now over 10 mile hikes. I put my entire winter camping gear in it and it felt amazing on. For a 50L pack it's very light and with 40lbs+ it felt like 20. Usually packs of this size with this weight leaves my shoulders sore over 10+ miles. Not this pack....not once. I highly recommend this pack.
