These boots look nice on the interweb and in person. Its another story the first time you wear them (ouch!!!!!!!!!!!) They hurt like hell for the first three miles. Real tite on the ankles,i loosend them up a bit and they were better. They will get more comfortable with time. I dont plan on any more North face boots

These are great and I think look much better in person than they do in the picture. I like to be as stylish as I can while still having the best functioning gear and clothing and these boots do just that. Do yourself a favor and pick them up if you are looking for a good looking, but tough work boot.
Perfect casual boot

I tried a pair of these on in a local store this summer and loved them, went home and ordered them on here ($30 cheaper). For me, I have to only wear them when it's really cold as my feet sweat a lot, even in flip flops lol. Now that the temps have dropped where I live, these boots are keeping my feet nice and toasty. I have also used them on light hiking trails and the grip is amazing! Great boot for a winter hike then a pint at the pub after, without looking like you just treked all over...lol
score!

i bought these boots for my super sporty and fashion conscious best friend for christmas. i have never seen him take a pair of shoes like this. from gallery openings, to hiking in the mountains, to snowy streets. they have become his go-to. comfortable, warm when necessary, and dry in the snow. he says there were his best 2012 score and i say they look hot for a sporty boot.

Fit: They fit snug, I purchased my regular size. I felt a 1/2 size larger was too sloppy.
Comfort: I spent 10 day walking all over London's cold and damp streets and these were great!
Looks: First off the boot's leather wear's great and look 100 times better than the image above.
good boot

The boot feels great, just get half a size bigger than your regular shoe size. The color DOES NOT LOOK AT ALL LIKE THE PICTURE!
Great Purchase

I ordered this boot mainly as a casual/comfort boot with the expectation of being able to stand up to some occasional snowy Wisconsin winter days. I believe these would have fit the bill perfectly, but the boot is not exactly as it looks in the picture. I know looks aren't everything when it comes down to a good boot, but I was expecting a shined maybe distressed look of leather as in the picture...but not what I got. The boot actually is a soft leather, almost suede look. Changed the look of the boot too much for me.

like I said, I felt the same way but just put some leather balm on them (a beeswax base)and thatll give them that rustic look. they are very absorbent leather but once you treat, it will look a bit shiny and richer. after three applications of my favorite balm (Effax ledarbalsam brown) they look like they belong in a museum and they are ridiculously waterproof now.
Stylin'!

How do the sizes run? I wear 10.5 in some shoe and 11 in others. If I order the wrong size can I return them for a different size?
