  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

These things are the BEST. Super warm, but still breathable. Waterproof as far as I've tested them, which has been in a lot of deep snow. Great traction. Rad colors. I'd love it if TNF made more versions of these (low tops?)

Comfortable & Warm

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times

I purchased these for a month-long backpacking trip I'll be taking, and a subsequent trek to the Pico Duarte summit. I've been wearing them since I received them, to break them in, but they're so wonderfully comfortable, that there is no need. I am typically a size 8, and these boots run true to size. There's room for thicker winter socks, but it really isn't necessary, as they are warm enough. The sole has fantastic grip, and the insole is well padded. Best hiking boots I've owned!

When it's cold/damp/muddy/snowy and you don't want clunky boots..!

These are my new favorite Fall & Winter dog walking & hiking shoes! No need to break them in, as they were super comfortable from Day 1.. Great grippy soles, and very water resistant though not entirely waterproof (perfect on early morning hikes in the woods when the ground is wet). A little hard to get on, but once they're on it feels like I'm walking on clouds. And the best part-- good arch support and ankle support. I've been on my feet all day in these, hiking in the woods, walking in the city, playing with my dogs in the dog park, and my feet feel fabulous.
