Just what I wanted

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

I live in Northern Michigan and wear these boots as my daily boot outdoors. Very comfortable liners and warm enough. Light boot and keep my feet warm while on the move and keeps them warm enough while sitting on the ice all day fishing. I will definitely buy another pair for next season! I had to order a half size bigger than the hedgehog gtx low boot I wear.

Not rated for -40F (at all).

I bought these for a camping trip in Gates of the Arctic National Park in March. Temperature never went below -30F and my feet were always cold. Those boots are comfortable at 0F, anything below get something else.

    so far so good

Really cozy and really warm. Seem to run big though, had to order a full-size down. Fit snug (even on my skinny ankles). I recently walked around in deep snow for about 2.5 hours and my feet stayed toasty warm in a pair of cotton socks (whoops). Would be a five star, but I don't feel the sizing is accurate.

Love these boots, they are light weight and a very comfortable all day boot(6 Hour +) snowshoeing boot. To be honest I Don’t know where these companies get their temperature ratings from. Not a -40C boot but will keep you warm all day with active use at -25C and standing around to -15C. Only reason I’m not giving them a 5 star rating is they claim to be good to -40C(NOT SO)

        Love em so far...

I just got these, so will have to update on functionality later, but wanted to give my opinion on fit, comfort, etc...

I have several pairs of TNF boots, and if you have tried them on before, always go up a full size. I wear an 8 in my normal shoes, but my Baltoro's, Ice Storm GTX, and these are all size 9 and fit great, and I have a wide foot, cant even wear Nike tennis shoes.

These are comfy, light and work great with a slimmer fitting soft shell pant. I will get some use out of them very soon and will update on warmth and traction.

I really like these so far. More to come...

Boots are not like the chikleta

These boots run smaller than other North Face Boots. And for the amount they cost, they are not like the North Face Chkleta (spelling) for 80 bucks less. The positive is that these boots are very light weight....the negative, they don't seem like they are going to last as long, are smaller in size, and i do not think are worth 140 dollars

What is the Thinsulate equivalent to 400g of Heatseeker? It lists -40 temp rating, but I've only seen that really be true for bunny boots, is that rating accurate?
