beware of high rise - not a hipster in my size, should have ordered larger. not great fit, snug waist (although adjustable) and loose hips. fun plaid, nice fabric.!

I really like these shorts. I got the blue/yellow color combination, and I anticipate they will be quite nice for rafting trips in the summer. They seem to run true to size insofar as how sizes used to be. That is, I ordered a size 8, and I am 5'9 and ~135 lbs., and the shorts fit great!

I've found that the sizes run really small. I normally wear an 8 in jeans, and I wound up having to purchase a 12 in this pair of shorts!

The sizing runs SMALL. I usually wear an 8 in most women's bottoms, ordered a 10 just to be on the safe side, and they are still too tight. Had to go up to a 12.
are there any metal rivets on the back pockets or anything else
are there any metal rivets on the back pockets or anything else that i can't see from this single view that could be dangerous at a waterpark?

No metal rivets on the back. There's a zippered pocket with a metal pull, but it lies more to the side. Shouldn't be a problem at the water park!

Why are people saying these run small? I wear a size 2 and ordered a size 4 and it was too big on me. Now I have to pay for shipping to exchange it.
