As stylish as it is warm.
The North Face designed the Apres Parkina Down Jacket to do two things for you—keep you warm and make you look good. Chalk up a success on both counts. The Apres Parkina keeps you warm with lightweight, compressible 600-fill down insulation and it keeps you looking good with mixed quilting patterns throughout the body, a matched elastic belt for a more flattering fit, and removable faux fur collar trim for a look that you can change with your mood.
While the Apres Parkina's timeless styling is what first made you fall in love, its waterproof breathable shell and down insulation will keep your heart pitter-pattering for many winters to come. The face fabric is is durable polyester with nylon satin lining that is super-soft against your skin, so you can wear the Apres Parkina with a short-sleeve shirt if you want. Of course, the feature that you'll love the most is the warm and water-resistant 600-fill down insulation that retains its loft when exposed to moisture and stays dry 17 times longer than untreated down, so you stay warm no matter what the weather's doing.
The North Face gave the Apres Parkina removable faux fur collar trim, so you can change your look from one day to the next. The matched elastic belt with a metal logo buckle gives the Apres Parkina a more flattering, feminine shape. The internal elastic cuffs add comfort, and plenty of pocket space makes it easy to bring your stuff along or just warm your digits up.

Perfect for cold weather
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
- Fit: True to size
This has been my go-to this winter for non-active day or night wear. it's very cute, fits great and I love that the fur collar is tan and not white (no makeup transfer!) It's super warm and cozy. I'm usually an M or L and generally get L in jackets to fit things under. I got the L and it fits as expected.
Really happy with this jacket!
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
- Fit: True to size
I was a bit worried buying this jacket without being able to try it on, but the gamble paid off. I usually have trouble with NF clothes as I find them to be a narrow cut, and I'm tall with a DD cup and arms that are more discus thrower than skier :-).
I bought the jacket for a winter trip to Paris, and I'm currently wearing it in temperatures ranging from 5 degrees Celsius to 11 degrees Celsius, with only a long sleeved tee or thin cashmere jumper. It's rainy and windy in Paris at the moment, so the zip out hood is great as a brolly is pointless in this wind. The hood is a good size - I have a large head, and hoods are either too big or too small, this one is just perfect and stays in place without blowing off.
The jacket is smart enough to wear around the city and looks smart with jeans or a dress. It's not a puffy jacket, so I don't look like the Michelin man either.
The only negative is that it does shed the occasional feather through the fabric
All up, very happy with the purchase.
Love at first sight!!!
- Gender: Female
- Fit: Runs small
This coat is amazing. I live in Chicago and have been searching for the perfect winter coat. After many online purchases and failed attempts I came across this gem. I was expecting it to disappoint and let me tell you, it did not! Finally, I found the perfect winter coat. I wanted something stylish but warm and functional as well. The faux fur is detachable which is great. I can switch up the looks of the coat for different occasions. Also, there is a hidden hood which will come in hand for those blistery Chicago snow storms. Overall - so happy with my purchase. I was sick of buying winter coats year after year, just for them to fall apart or get worn out. I have other North Face coats/jackets that are still kicking after numerous years of wear, so I know this was a good investment. Even though it is a little pricey, I know in the end it was the right choice to spend the extra money for the quality of the coat.
The only negative thing I can say is it runs small. So make sure to go up a size if you want a little more room.
In conclusion, I hate the cold and winter, but I am pumped this year so I can wear my awesome new North Face coat!!!
