The North Face made the Men's Valkyrie Jacket with durable water-and wind-resistant fabric, so you won't have to stop hiking to dig through your bag for a hardshell as snow flurries start to fall. In fact, you won't even need to pack your hardshell if you're traveling with the Valkyrie, unless you're expecting a torrential downpour. Four-way stretch Apex fabric moves with you as you climb, hike, or ski, and underarm vents, plus two core vent pockets, help you dump heat. The fully adjustable hood fits over a climbing helmet, and the Polartec Power Shield fabric adds extra durability and weather protection to The North Face Valkyrie.

Bottom Line: Choose The North Face Valkyrie Jacket for all your mountain pursuits.

I thought of buying the North Face Apex Valkyrie Jacket on the web site, but I am a little worried about the fit. I am slim 6 ft tall and 41 inches chest and would like a jacket that isnt too loose around the waist for all kinds of outdoor sports. Any experinces with the fit of the Valkyrie jacket?

Im 6'1" and fairly slim. I tend to like a slimmer fit and this jacket has been perfect for me. Its stretchy enough to layer under it, but when you where it with just a tee shirt or whatever it doesn't look baggy or loose or anything, it fits pretty slim

Great Jacket

Bought this jacket to try out North Faces Apex. Awesome jacket for light days on the mountain. However, if it is below 20 degrees, might want to wear something warmer. I use it around campus and days around 25 degrees on the mountain snowboarding. Actually very wind and water resistant, and the hood is great when the snow starts coming down on the slopes. Would definately recommend it for late fall or early spring but still love my denali with gore-tex shell when it gets really cold. Overall, love it for around town and warmer days on the slopes.
