Ski in them, board in them, climb in them, hike, bike, or do anything you like in them. The North Face Men's Apex Trekking Pant's versatility is transparent. Good thing the pants themselves aren't. This lightweight, abrasion-resistant four-way stretch softshell pant stands up to any abuse you want to throw its way. The ankle zippers slip over shoes or boots quickly and the gripper elastic cuffs keep out chilly air. Climb on a cool day, and the soft-brushed lining keeps you warm. The front fly and waist belt make the Apex Trekking Pant ready for town.
Bottom Line: The versatility is transparent, but the pants aren't.

This is one good pair of pants for cool weather!
I've used my APEX pants this season for snowboarding, and backpacking. I've spent a few days near zero in these pants and have not worried too much about the chill factor. They tend to run a bit long. Overall though this is a really good The North Face product!

This is a great light weight soft shell. I like in the North West and is often very wet and cold and windy and this has stood the test to all three. I am a pretty big guy and always warm so this thin breathable pants are great. The way they fits like a kick around pant not some ultra tight running biking pant. I have used them for running, biking, climbing and snowboarding. North Face is really getting
back on their game as far as functional clothing for a very reasonable price.
