Hi Angie - I'm 5'2" and 95 lbs and the XS fits me fine, so a Small would probably fit you better. Be sure to consult TNF's sizing chart too: http://www.backcountry.com/store/sizingchart.html?sizing_id=679&sku=TNF4632&pg_id=305&subcat_id=42&cat_id=12 Hope this helps -
Kellie, if you bought it from Backcountry they offer a lifetime warranty on everything. Contact customer service and they will authorize a returned merchandise number and all you pay is return shipping. TNF also offers a lifetime warranty and you can ship it back directly to them if you prefer.

I'm been searching for a new insulated winter jacket, and received this one a few days ago. I've been struggling a little bit with the North Face sizing. I'm 5'9, 155, (size 8-10), and most TNF larges are a little too big on me, but the mediums are too tight/short. Anyhow, I ordered this one in a large, and while it is a bit big (in the chest/waist especially), the length (back & sleeves) is great, and there are cords that let you cinch in at the waist. So, I've decided to keep it, and know that I'll be able to layer well under it when needed. It is really warm, and seems to deal well with snow/sleet. I wore it last night in a light sleet, and it was perfect - didn't feel cold/wet at all. The hood is a bit insulated, too, which I love ... also love that it's detachable.
This is a great jacket, TNF as most know have akward sizing but I love this jacket. Its so soft and warm on the inside and when living in Wyoming/Montana this is a necessity. Fits the curves of my body perfectly, it is a little short on my torso, but thats not unusual since its lengthy. Worth the price! So Comfy!
I just bought this jacket for my girlfriend and she LOVES it. It is very warm and it looks great. She is 5'7'' and about 135 and a Medium fits perfectly. She says that it keeps her very warm, and she is always cold. In temps of 30 degrees it can be worn over light "going out" clothes like a blouse or dress. Very pleased with BC customer service. UPS dropped the ball on shipping big time, so Backcountry credited me the shipping cost.
Great jacket, and Backcountry is the best online retailer ever!!
Hi Kelly - The Paradigm is going to be substantially warmer because it is insulated, where the Bionic is has a light fleece backing. The insulation on the Paradigm makes it slightly heavier than the Bionic- Hope this helps
The cut is great... it is slimming for a winter coat which is nice. Two of my sisters have this coat, and after trying theirs on, I ordered it for myself and I love it! It is a great coat! My sisters are 5'4" and around 125-135lbs, and they ordered Medium. I am 5'7" and 155, and ordered a Large.
I'm only 5'1" with kind of a pear-shaped body. I just received the Redpoint insulated jacket in a small, and find it too tight in the hips. Can you tell me how the Apex Paradigm fits?
The Paradigm is fitted around the hips, no elastic. I am 5' 10" and size 12 and it just fits (XL jacket) The material is slightly stretchy. I love the jacket, but I would suggest you try one on in a store.
I'm been searching for a new insulated winter jacket, and received this one a few days ago. I've been struggling a little bit with the North Face more...
