Zip into The North Face Apex Paradigm Jacket and get outside. Apex Universal softshell fabric will keep light precip from getting to you, and PrimaLoft Eco insulation makes sure you stay toasty warm while you revel in your environmental friendliness. Take the hood off when you’re headed out on the town –the Paradigm looks plenty good for the après scene.

  • Wind resistance of 5-15 CFM keeps the wind from getting you down
  • Stretchy, breathable softshell is a milder-weather alternative to hardshells –perfect for sledding, hiking, and cross-country skiing
  • 100g PrimaLoft Eco insulation stays warm, even when it gets wet

Bottom Line: Versatility never looked so good.

Love the style of the jacket, warm yet not bulky. However, did not like the color (dark blue) so we opted to return it and get the all black. Love it!!!

Warm and Windproof

Great utility winter jacket. It has been bitterly cold in Upstate New York and this jacket has done exceptionally well at keeping me warm. The PrimaLoft is just the right amount of insulation. I wouldn't take this skiing due to lack of core venting but it is great for everyday winter wear. I'm 6'1" and 200lbs, the Large is perfect and I can easily fit a sweater or sweatshirt underneath.

I just bougth this jacket, it's is extremely warm and very elegant looking.
When I tried it on for size with a winter sweater under it, I found the XL fits better and I am 6Ft even 200 lbs, but with a belly, so it could be either L or XL

I am 5'9 or 5'11 around that and I weigh 160 pounds.

I am 5'9 or 5'11 around that and I weigh 160 pounds. Would a Medium be good? What are the measurements for a medium I know that a jacket with a length of 31" to 32" would be long enough if that helps.

I bought it for my son for Christmas and he loves it. Hasn't worn any other jacket since. Dealing with Back Country was a pleasure - and they had the lowest price on North Face of any dealer I found on the internet.

This jacket is just a shell not much protection from winter temps..i doubt this would even hold up the 30 degrees F...You will have to go with a heavy down jacket or a Triclimate jacket with layers to protect from cold that bad...

I think if it gets that cold for long periods, you may want to look at the Triclimate ones from the same brand with an extra layer, but more expensive. For short periods I think it would be ok, especially with the hood it has

lightweight and good looking

I just got this jacket in the all black colorway. I went with the XXL size because im a big guy at 260lbs and like 6.26" (191cm) the jacket fits well on the body, i can wear also a fleece underneath and the sleeve lenght is perfect.
There are still around 10C (50F) so i cant wear it yet..
Also the outer material is stretchy with a nice feel when touching but from what i have seen is a dust magnet
