The North Face Women’s Antoinette Down Jacket saves your hide when the weather gets hostile. A lovely, shimmery taffeta with plush 600-fill down insulation keeps you cozy in sub-freezing air. And it looks downright swanky with a fluffy scarf, wool cap, and boots. Rest your cold fingers in the front handwarmer pockets and zip your phone or MP3 player in the interior pocket.

Bottom Line: Just suited for chilly ladies who demand royal style.

Not a fan of the style

I ordered this coat in black. The color is nothing like the picture. The true is color is a grayish-black and the Northface logo is in black, not white. I am 5'5", 125 lbs and the medium fit perfect and was very comfortable. However, I was not a fan of the sleeves. The gatherings of the sleeves were sewn very tightly and to me looked funny on. Disappointed in the look so I sent it back.

I purchased this coat for my girlfriend and she loves it. She has had almost every brand of coat over the years from Mountain Hardware, Cloudveil, etc. and she loves the fit. It is functional, attractive, and provides all of the ammenities North Face is known for. I highly recommend this jacket when it becomes affordable for you!

Overall nice jacket. Fit is a bit tricky, if you want a close fit, order your regular NorthFace size. If you want a roomier fit, order up 1 size. Had to return the jacket, collar was defective, kept rolling up, would not stay down. When I called customer service, I told them that the jacket was now at 99.00 instead of 119.00 I would keep the defective jacket, and take to a seamstress who would rethread the collar edge. Backcountry would not credit me the sale price. So I am sending back for a full refund. They lost a sale and a customer. Backcountry does not price-match, nor will they credit you a sale price, if you purchased at a higher price!

Hi Missay - normally I would probably recommend a medium - but since you mentioned a long torso, I think you should go large. It is a pretty fitted jacket, so the large isn't going to be super big.
Hope this helps

Love it!

I purchased this jacket for a trip to New York over the holidays and it is a good thing I did. It snowed 14 inches while we were there and with this jacket I was warm and toasty while walking all over the city. The fabric is somewhat water and snow resistant, I stayed nice and dry even during heavy snow fall. Also the 600 fil down is the perfect weight for moderate activity in cold conditions.

I had to wait until I found this jacket on sale. Now I don't feel so bad because I saved money and I love the coat! THANK YOU BACK COUNTRY for making it more affordable. I would have never purchased this jacket otherwise! I will now shop Back Country's website first, to check for sale prices should I need any more North Face or other apparel! Be sure to tell North Face this jacket is a winner. They need to keep the style and the cut is exactly right. And please keep "this" particular black! It's the perfect black. (kind of a grayish black) Do not change it! If I had the money I would buy this jacket in the blue and the brown as well. Buy sadly I do not. Maybe North Face could offer new colors next year. But don't change the black! I say this just in case something happens to mine and I'll have another opportunity can get another one!
