The North Face Women’s Animagi Insulated Jacket strikes a balance between warmth and breathability so you can be more comfortable on your next winter run, snowshoe trek, or cross-country ski trip. Ultralight PrimaLoft Eco recycled synthetic insulation on the front and back warms your core, while the ripstop nylon's DWR treatment repels light precipitation. Stretchy, breathable panels make up the sides and sleeves to provide great mobility and prevent overheating. A drop-tail hem covers your back as you bend to re-tie your shoe or release your bindings, and thumb loops protect your hands from nippy air and provide seamless coverage when you pull on your gloves.

Bottom Line: Strike a balance.

Nice Jacket-

Nice jacket! The only problem was the length of the arm sleeves. They were way too long and the extra slack bugged me when on runs. I returned it. If it wasn't for that I would have kept it.

Awesome jacket

This is an awesome little jacket. it is lightweight in feel but offers a nice level of warmth. Not meant for cold frigid conditions, but good for those chilly runs when you don't want a heavy jacket to weigh you down. Offers breathable, wicking fabric with a sleek, form fitting style. Long sleeves - great for when you want to use those thumb holes or the flaps to cover your hands without feeling trapped. I felt llike the jacket ran true to size. I am 5' 8" and weigh 138 and I ordered a medium which fit perfectly but I do have long arms!

Nice running jacket

By:
December 21, 2010

This is a highly-specialized outer layer for cold weather high-activity sports. It's definitely not something you'd just wear around town in the winter because you'd freeze from the thin sleeves and side panels. The PrimaLoft body of the jacket keeps your core warm, but the sleeves are thin so you don't overheat. It's extremely lightweight for the warmth it provides, so it won't make you feel weighed down by your running clothes.

I bought this jacket in black and love it. I am now going to buy it again in the grey and purple. It runs small so go up a size than the usual north face sizing.

LOVE IT!

By:

Pretty sure I've worn this jacket everyday for the last 2 weeks since I got it. I love the way it fits and looks. I have the black one and it's pretty shiny and I kinda feel like cat woman, but as far as I can tell, there's nothing wrong with that. The only thing is the sleeves are pretty long. They do have the thumb catch and a hand covers but for everyday use when you don't need to be covering your hands, they're a little long. Other than that's is a great thin insulation layer for pretty much any activity.

I want one in every color!

I love this jacket it is the second one I have bought. I wish I had one in every color. It is great for running because it is warm but light weight enought to not bog you down if you have to tie it around your waist during your run.
