    Say no to treadmills.

Built for aerobic activities in cold weather, The North Face Women's Animagi Insulated Jacket keeps you well ventilated and warm while you cross country ski, snowshoe, or go on a winter run. With a windproof core, this lightweight jacket will keep the chill out, and with breathable stretch sleeves, it will let the excess heat out. Front quilted panels add some extra insulation to keep your core warm so you can stop for a break instead of feeling like you have to keep going just to keep warm.

The North Face threw in some added bonus features to keep your digits toasty on the run. Inner mitts and thumb loops will keep your hands warm. So don't let the temperature put you on the treadmill—get after it no matter what.

This jacket is not warm ! Its in the low 40 's here with sun and I nearly froze in this jacket . It is very thin and the wind goes right through it . This jacket would never keep you warm on the ski slopes. You would have to wear another coat over it .
The colors shown are not true . I ordered the snowcone red judging from the picture . It is nothing like that color. Its a bright orange and I don't like that color. This jacket is not worth $ 90 . I will be returning this one for sure .

    False advertising

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I got this coat because I'm from Michigan and I like running outside - even when it's below freezing. This was advertised as an "insulated" jacket; however I froze within ten minutes of wearing it out. This is my first experience with north face and I had decided that it was finally time to pony up for a better quality jacket - I should have just stick with my cheap $20 running jacket that I've been using. I WILL NEVER BUY NORTHFACE AGAIN. If this is what they call insulated, obviously there must be something wrong with them. The jacket itself looks cheap and, while it fits perfectly, I'd much rather be warm than stylish or have the "Northface" status. Honestly, I'm probably going to return the jacket since it doesn't do what it's supposed to, which is keep me from getting hypothermia while I'm running in the winter.

    Love love love

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

So I had bought the first rendition of this jacket since I am an avid winter runner. I wanted to get another one a few years later and this is the updated - new and improved version and WOW. The quilting in the front and back keeps your core warm. They have added breathing in the back to help get perspiration out and keep you dry and warm. I wear this coat when it gets below 45 and with a warm base layer I have been able to run in 0 degree temperatures and not even know it. The coat should be form fitted to work at its best. I originally bought a large because I have broad shoulders and thought a medium would not work. I accidently got a medium (I had bought two) and kept both. Well, after wearing them the medium although tight is a much better fit and as you run loosens up. The large is okay but is probably not functioning as well because of the roominess. I have had winter running coats from Marmot, Brooks, and New Balance and this is the BEST jacket. I have washed mine repeatedly, run it through the wringer and they both look brand new. Great jacket.

    Love it!

I have yet to take a run with this beaut but it looks exactly as the picture. The arms are long and the waist is perfectly pleated.

    Beautiful Jacket

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
    • Fit: Runs small

The quality of this jacket is outstanding, and I love the body mapping. However, it runs small through the shoulders, and I had to return it. Therefore, I did not wear it for running and cannot comment on its performance.
