Match those warm fuzzies in your heart with the warmth of The North Face Women's Amore Down Vest. Wrap your core in its 600-fill down insulation and fight off that chill, or layer it up when the deep-freeze sets in. The North Face Amore Down Vest's double-diamond ripstop fabric keeps it from snagging and leaking feathers and is fully waterproof in case the snowflakes start piling up.
I love my new North Face Down Vest. It is perfect over a sweatshirt and not bulky at all. It keeps my core nice and warm. Iv worn it under bigger coats also and enjoyed the warmth with out the bulk in the arms of the coat. Sizing is normal - no need to order big or small - just pick your normal size.

I'm want to get a new down vest to replace the one I've worn out. I'm considering the NF Nuptse (700 fill), Amore (600 fill), or Aconcagua (550 fill). Can someone explain what temperature ranges as associated with the different fill powers? I live in Santa Cruz where it's cold much of the year and I need something mid-weight. I don't necessarily get cold easily, mainly just cold hands so I wear gloves a lot. I will wear it with layers. I want it as an all-around vest for going to school, running errands, and also for light-moderate hikes. If it's really cold, I'll more than likely wear a heavier jacket.
I ordered the North Face Amore Down Vest for my college daughter and she is very pleased. It's style is great and it is warm, yet light weight, not bulky. She will great a lot of use out of it while walking on campus.
Warm, cozy, and not puffy at all. Looks great with everything and has an awesome cut, plus a double zip! I splurged on this vest because it was pretty much the only waterproof, ripstop, down vest I could find and it's been totally worth it. Could use a little more room in the bust area though, I had to size up to make sure I could still wear a light fleece underneath.
Hoped it would go well with wife's Arcteryx shell for the extra cold days, but a shade or two off so clashes. Fit, features, construction, quality no complaint.
