    Show Alaska what's up.

Alaska's renowned for having some pretty gnarly weather, but even its worst spring, summer, and fall storms are no match for The North Face Aleutian 20 Degree Synthetic Sleeping Bag. It's jam-packed with synthetic, 30% recycled Heatseeker Eco insulation, so those soggy coastal storms won't sap your bag's warmth, and has a roomy cut so claustrophobia will never keep you from sleeping comfortably. In fact, it's designed with a wrap-around footbox zipper so you can unzip the whole bag and use it as a comforter, if that's what the temperatures call for. Of course, if it is cold, you'll be all about the warm-air-trapping draft collar and snug hood.

Solid Bag For Basic Car Camping

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This is a great bag for a couple solid nights of car camping. The 20 degree synthetic keeps you warm and cozy in pretty cold temperatures and its really comfortable to sleep in. They pack up relatively small and fit easily into the car.

    Long Enough for a Giant!

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Bought the extra long for my boyfriend who is 6'7" and it fit him with some room to spare. We car camped in 38F weather and stayed warm throughout the night.

We plan on taking it in our kayaks soon.

    Good for car camping

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

At close to 4 pounds for a regular length this bag isn't winning any weight contests. Its not what I'd recommend for a back packing trip any way.

What it is good for, is a sleeping bag to take with you car camping. It is cheap, fairly durable (just don't leave it compressed for long periods of time, synthetic insulation doesn't deal well with that.) and adequately warm for 3 season use.

North Face bags tend to no be quite as warm as they advertise, but layer correctly and you'll be OK.

The left and right zip also zip together nicely.

    Good Bag

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Soft material used is comfy. Not much insulation with this bag so if it's a warm night this is a good bag, but if it's going to be chilly 40 degree or below you might want to get a bag rated for lower temps. The bag is a mummy shape. I wouldn't consider it a relaxed shape there's not a lot of wiggle room. I wouldn't mind it being more relaxed in shape in the leg area.

    Hi.

May I know Is this the model with a short zipper on the other side that allows it to be folded down at the top like a comforter?

Can these sleeping bags be zipped together?
