Good grief NF, c'mon!

  • Familiarity:I returned this product before using it

Bag is fine - other then it is HUGE! There is no compression stuff sack, just a storage stuff sack so plan and extra $20.

My big beef... the zipper. It is just plain awful! Snagged 4 times per zip up. Last 2 inches required 2 hands and it does this "boa constrictor" thing up towards the neck which makes zipping very hard. For the price, I would still use it but this could have been an outstanding bag with just a bit more attn to detail.

Used it on the floor and then called to return. Kuddos to BC for good customer service!

Did the folks at Backcountry find that other buyers had the same problem with the zipper? I'm very interested in the bag but a rough and tumble zipper would be a deal breaker. Was it just a design flaw or a lot number production flaw. I hope it was just a random anomaly.

What size compression sack should I get...

What size compression sack should I get for this bag? 5, 8, 10, 15, 20 or 35 L?

For compression sacks, the general rule is to buy one that is sized at the same size as the included stuff sack.

Since this bag is synthetic, you probably shouldn't bother to buy a waterproof compression sack, but if you did, check out the Sea to Summit eVent bag..
