Great Summer/Fall bag

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I've used the bag a few dozen times in Summer and Fall all over Alaska. It is a good quality bag that packs down well then fuffs right up.

I am a warm sleeper and the coldest temperature I've used the bag at is the high teens. I wore a light wool base layer, wool socks and, had a sleeping mat. I never got cold in this bag. After two years of frequent use I'm still happy with my purchase.

one night over 10,500 feet

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

we spent one night on the trail to Lilly Lake in southern Colorado on September !st. The bag was comfortable and I stayed quite warm with long sleeved shirt, pants and socks on. I am a rather cold sleeper and little body fat, so I was impressed that I stayed warm during the night with temps into the mid 30's. I would take a fleece liner with me if I stayed out in weather any cooler. The bag packs up small and fluffed up nicely when I pulled it out to use it. There is no padding to it though, you will definitely need a sleeping mat! I consider it a good bag for the money and will use it many times on my future hiking adventures.
