The North Face Women’s Akira Sport Pant has eight-percent elastane and a gusset panel, so you really should watch out during kickboxing class—your legs might kick farther than before (as in, into the person next to you). The wide waistband feels comfortable while you do sit-ups.
Bottom Line: Jaw-height kicks.

liked 'em, thought they were a little tight up top initially, but not uncomfortable. Use 'em for running & climbing. Great.
depends on what size you are but a medium is 31" then it goes up or down 1/2" depending on size.

These are very nice pants. The cut is flattering, they are incredibly stretchy and easy to move in. I just wish they came in a long length. I am 5'10" and they hit right about at my ankle bone.

I was dissapointed that NF decided to change the design of the Akira Pant. The new version features a gusseted crotch (which sags down and honestly I think is unnecessary for women's pants) and they are longer than the previous design. I was excited when they introduced a new color, but these pants do not fit like the old ones do.

Nice fit. They run pretty true to size, not as long as the PRANA pant I also ordered.

I love the fit of these pants. I have 4 pairs! But they fade very quickly, after a few washings. i wash them inside out, but they are starting to look like charcoal instead of black.

Exactly what I was looking for! I have a small waist but am thicker through the hips and thighs. And I found a winner with these pants! If I was being really choosy... I'd suggest they could be lower rise in the front. But backcountry never fails with customer service. If I wouldn't have liked the pants, I would have had no qualms sending them back and trying again. But alas, I'm committed and love them! Great for climbing, running, yoga, lounging, and even going to the market. Well done!

Let 'er rip.I like these pants becuase of the feel, they do seem to be high on the waist and a little loose. Fit is not 100% but the pants feel great and are warm. A-
