Down for town.
The beauty of The North Face Women's Aconcagua Down Vest is that it's chic enough to wear about town, but provides excellent core warmth when you need it. Available this season in a new iridescent fabric for an eye-catching look, this is a vest that you'll reach for when you want to dress to impress on cold days. As ever, the 550-fill down provides lightweight and compressible warmth, and the quilting pattern has been refined to offer a more tailored, feminine look. The Aconcagua looks great and functions wonderfully as a standalone vest, and it can also be zipped into compatible shells from The North Face when the weather gets really nasty. Two zippered hand pockets give you a place to tuck your hands or secure your phone.
- Polyester and nylon plain weave fabric

The grey is actually silver
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Fit: True to size
I bought this vest in black last year and loved it so much that I wanted a different color. I purchased the pache grey. As always, great price and shipping through BackCountry. I can't decide if I like the color and quality of this one though and might have to return it. The grey is shiny just like the black, but it makes the vest look SILVER, not grey. I'm not a fan of silver on me. Also, the material feels different than last year's version. Not as smooth and soft. Zipper and pocket pulls are white.
I still give it 4 stars, as my meh feelings are mostly tied to the color. If I spend this kind of money on a item, I want to love it.
