Does this jacket have a detachable hood?????...
Does this jacket have a detachable hood????? I REALLY need the hood as I live in the frozen tundra of Duluth. :)
Hi Graves sorry no detachable hood on this jacket. If you are looking for a down jacket with a hood check out the catalyst, prism optimus, destiny, or take me down jacket. Hope that helps
Don't stress; there's plenty of North Face Down jackets with hoods, in a variety of down fill-power (the higher fill numbers will give you more warmth from its better lofting properties) :
1. Insulated Hood/Detachable
- Menlo Down Parka, 550-fill
2. Non-insulated Hood/Detachable
- Amore Down jacket, 600-fill
- Transit Down jacket, 600-fill
- Triple C Down jacket, 700-fill
- Greta Down jacket, 600-fill
3. Insulated Hood/Fixed
- Oh Snap Down vest
- Hey Mama Bomba jacket, 500-fill
4. Non-insulated Hood/Fixed
- Destiny Down jacket, 600-fill
- Arctic Parka, 550-fill
- Gotham Down jacket, 550-fill
- Totally Down, 600-fill
- Catalyst Down, 800-fill
- Greenland Down, 550-fill
- Move Down, 550-fill
- Gimme More Down, 600-fill
Another style good to go with a north face nuptse jacket.

You could definitely layer this with your jacket but these two aren't zip-in compatible. Sorry.

I'm 5'6 and 105 pounds...i like my jackets a little loose for some breathing room...i also have fairly long and skinny arms. However, I'm skinny so I dont want the jacket to be too puffy on me. Would you recommend the small or extra small?

Does this jacket come with a sac/bag for storage whilst travelling?
No, i do not think there is an accompanying sac for this jacket.
Cute and warm.
I purchased this jacket in a small. I wanted a super warm but cute and flattering jacket for around town. I'm 5'4" 125 pounds 32B. The small looked big, so wasn't cute and flattering. The XS was adorable and I loved the shiny bright pink color, but it was too tight across my lats to really be a technical jacket for camping or skiing, but fine for looking cute in cold weather.
Cute and comfy!
I'm 5'5" and about 120lbs. and this jacket fits very comfortably in XS. I wear it with jeans and it's not bulky which is great for walking around the city. It's lightweight and just a tad shiny which I really like. The first time I wore this, I got compliments from both my mom and my mother-in-law. This is a GREAT buy for the price!
I bought last month in red and I love it!. It is lightweight but stays very warm in cold weather which we have had since November! The price was good and shipping free. The only downside was it is a little snug in waist when zipping up. But it is cheaper than it was last month so I might order in different color!
This is my first North Face purchase and I'm pretty sure I'll be ordering more jackets for our winter months in St. Louis in the future. I love the brown color - very rich and pretty. I had to order a size small because they didn't have a medium in the brown, and although it is a tiny bit snug, it is still very comfortable. I love the feminine cut and I get a lot of compliments when I wear it.
I recommend it
nice jacket and light to wear.A little big for me. The shipping is fast.

Love this jacket!
I bought a Medium Bittersweet Brown. It is slimming, beautiful color and I have received several compliments. It is warm without being too hot. I would love to order another jacket just like this one in another color!
best purchase ever!!!!
I absolutely LOVE this coat! I bought it last minute for a very cold trip to northern wisconsin. I was super scared to buy something online but it was the best price so i tried it.
This coat is sooo warm! it seems light-weight but it produces serious insulation and warmth. Out of all of my winter coats this is the warmest.
I bought the white one and wore it ice fishing, snowmobile riding, and to the bars and it never got dirty. it was super easy to wash in the washing machine when i got home, too. It is a great color!
size- I ordered a small, despite the opinions i read about it running "big". to me- a coat should not be too-snug. I am 5'3" 120 lbs with a medium size chest and it fits perfectly. if anything its a little bit big in the back/shoulder area but that's it. I probably could have fit in a xs as well.
I told all my friends at work to buy this coat- that's how much i love it. i think i'm going to get it in different colors!
hope this helps people. these are the things in reviews that i look for.
I love this coat. I normally would have ordered a S but after reading the reviews I reluctantly ordered a M instead and I'm glad I did, it fits perfectly. (I'm 5'5", 120lbs.) I wear a women's S in a Columbia ski coat and its a little big so I cant believe a M in North Face fits me. I was a little disapointed in how thin it was when I opened it but so far I've worn it in 50 to 30 degrees and been fine....I don't know how warm I'll be when it gets down lower than that. I bought the white and have received many compliments on it...it looks good!
o.k., I read some of the reviews and I can't agree. . This jacket is perfect, it fits so well, looks great I have only had it a few weeks and get so many compliments. It's super comfortable, not heavy or bulky. I am 5'1 137 (34C) and I ordered a med. I will be able to layer under it which is great for the weather here in STL. I ordered the black and I just love it. I told people to shop for one here the price was great too!
Oh sadly, this is such a gorgeous jacket OFF the body. It is a nice and thin puffy; would be perfect for layering or used alone, but the fit is awful for most people. All the size reviews below are accurate--the shape is more a men's style: big shoulders and back, and small around the hips. I have a small butt and no hips and this was way too tight in the bottom and poofy on top in a Medium. I'm 5'5", 140, 34B. Sad b/c the navy color is really pretty.
The wife's favorite jacket....
My wife went crazy for this jacket, loves it, keeps her warm, very stylish in the "bittersweet brown".
This gorgeous thin jacket is deceptively warm, yet flattering. I wore it in Boston and I ony wish my lower body had been as toasty. Fits true. I'm 5 7" and 130 pounds and got the small. Perfect.

I need your help. I am 5"5-6 118lb.small built with big shoulders and arms for my body.but small waist and butts. I wear size small or medium in clothings. Should I get Small or Medium??
I am the same size as you and I would def. recommend a Medium. I purchased the small and returned it for the medium.
like it alot
I love the jacket alot, I have two northface jackets, and I love both of them, but this one is a little more femenin, to ware with dressier clothing, and my northface denali thermal I can ware on less dressier occasions. LOVE THEM BOTH
