Great jacket. Light and warm.

This was actually for my son. When I first saw it I thought no way would this be warm enough. However, he tells me it's quite warm, the pockets are great keeping his hands warm waiting for the school bus and it blocks the wind. On really cold days (like today...2 degrees) he wore a hoody underneath and sent me a text saying he was toasty at the bus stop. Very satisfied with the purchase and Backcountry is awesome.

On the Men's North Face Aconcagua in color Vanadis Grey, is the color of the front pocket zipper and North Face logo pink or red?

Tougher than it looks

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

I expected this coat to be warm, and I wasn't disappointed in that regard, but I was concerned how well it would hold up on a hike through unchartered brush. To my pleasant surprise, this jacket is very durable, and I would recommend it to anyone. The 550-fill is more than enough for a 20 degree day hike, and I bought mine a little larger to accommodate another layer for those sun-zero treks.
