If your sandals go squishitty-squash for miles after a river crossing, perhaps it's time to look at the Teva Men's Toachi Sandals. Water actually drains through a series of ports in the midsoles and mesh screens on these water sandals so you don't have to put up with water-logged soles. The ports also allow air to flow through for more foot ventilation when you're on land. Neoprene lining softens the straps, while toe bumpers on the Toachi Sandals let you slowly inch your way across fast-moving rivers without stubbing your toes on unseen rocks. Spider Rubber on the outsoles of these Teva sport sandals grip wet and dry terrain.
Bottom Line: Portals for water drainage and air circulation.
I really love these sandals. I feel a little nerdy wearing them around at times, but who cares! They are super comfortable and very functional. The sizes run a little big in my opinion. The toe bumpers are great, especially for river crossings or canoeing. You can tighten or loosen according to your preferences.
I have the female version of these and I loved them. I practically lived in these for 4 months during my travels. Often, I find that my feet get raw in certain parts of the shoe because the stiching rubs against my foot. I didn't have any problems with these. They were easy to slip on and off. Toe covering saved my a couple of times. I highly recommend these.
I bought the 8 1/2 for my husband. they are true to size, however the band that runs across the front arch is not adjustable and seems to run a bit tight.

These are the worst sandals I have ever worn. My feet are regular and these are narrow. Being that they are narrow they have certain spots that stick my feet and it hurts. I felt no support at all.
I'm an active guy and I guess I'll stick with Keen sao paulo
Also they look poorly made. They are an awesome concept but they need some work. You see exposed glue where the mesh in the sole to let water out which if you see exposed glue, they probably aren't going to hold up. I am glad to exchange these.
yeah i wouldn't recommend them. i wouldn't even go with keen. only sandals i'd think about for technical terrain are chacos. if you're sold on having a closed toe, then go with the paradox, if not, i'd highly recommend the chaco z/2. most versatile sandal i've ever owned.
I wore these on 2 trips... Hawaii they were fine, they did their job. Thailand they completely fell apart. Teva's so called spider rubber is garbage and came unglued on both sandals. To say the least I am beyond upset.
Maybe Teva should worry less about making their boxes out of recycled materials and use some good material on their sandals.
These Tevas are just awesome! They are without a doubt the best designed sandals I have ever seen. I wear these all the time; they are extremely comfortable. The Toachi has excelled at every situation I have had them in. The soles are very grippy on dry and wet ground. The toe guards should be on every sandal made. They have saved my big toes many times. the buckle makes them easy to take on and off. I HIGHLY recommend these sandals. I would give them twenty stars if I could.
Awful build quality! The stitching in the straps came out after about a month's use, I actually had to use one of my tent straps as a field repair. The sole that's designed to drain water from your feet to the ground works well, but it also works the other way around: If your sandals just stepped in some dog feces, yeah, your feet are actually stepping in dog feces. Once you step into something that smells bad, the sandals are almost impossible get properly clean again because of the sole's hollowness. You'll actually be walking around with a small chamber of disgusting smelly stuff under you feet. I bought mine abroad so I never had the option of returning them. I'm never buying tevas again!
I haven't worn a Teva for a few years now because my first pair was not al thet comfortable and got a little pricey. I purchased this Teva because I liked the design and I was pleasantly surprised by the fit and comfort. They are eons from the originals and well worth the price. The pad cradles my foot and and the cloth lining on the straps keep the sandal firmly in place with no cutting or chaffing. I enjoyed them d so much that I use them for street wear and think they look great.
These sandals are awesome. They are durable and comfortable. Used these carrying a large pack through Colorado, even when wet your feet do not slip around inside the sandal. I would recommend these to anyone.
These sandals are comfortable and feel sturdy. I like the fact that they have a buckle type fastener rather than velcro. They grip very well on dry and wet rocks.
The drains in the middle of the sole work well and it is easy to clean out any sand that gets in them with a hose.
The only downside that I came across was when I wore them for a cold early spring outdoor volleyball match. The damp sand collected in the buckles and made them very difficult to unclip.
This Teva Toachi sandals are plain awesome. I love them, they are so comfortable and they protect your feet with the toe guards. One thing to keep in mind is the ports in the midsoles, they are great for when you get wet but sometimes they also create a vacuum that might feel very weird on your bare foot.
I really love these sandals. I feel a little nerdy wearing them around at times, but who cares! They are super comfortable and very functional. The more...
