The Teva Men's Sunkosi Shoes let you run up your favorite mountain trail without hopping over streams or slowing down to step on stones. The patent-pending drain technology lets water escape and air flow in freely. To make these amphibious shoes, Teva took quick-drying uppers and integrated them with high-friction Spider Rubber outsoles using their patented Wraptor Fit System, which wraps all the way around the foot through a unique channel in the midsole. A series of drainage ports with mesh screens inside the Sunkosi Shoes let water escape through the bottom of the shoe while denying access to debris. The EVA midsole provides cushioning and shock absorption, and a durable pull-cord lets you make lightning fast fit-adjustments on the trail.

Bottom Line: Don't slosh up the trail. Wear Teva's Sunkosi Shoes for super efficient water-drainage and excellent breathability.

Teva Sunkosi 2 (Mens)

By:
March 6, 2010

I'm a keen sea kayaker based in Albany, Western Australia, Australia for a long time my water footwear were open toe sandals or neoprene water boots neither of which were ideal as they gave me no support in my arches then I found the Teva Sunkosi's in New Zealand and haven't looked back. They are the greatest no more stubbed toes cuts stick injuries etc and I can walk in them too. Backcountry have just supplied me with a new pair as I cant source them in Oz. Price was right even with the freight to Australia and delivery times were spot on. This latest pair have been put away for a rainy day. Give me a water shoe over a sandal any day especially in the surf, around rocks or in the rivers.

Write your answer here... Robert in answer to your question there is only one style of Teva Sunkosi 2 watershoe as you discovered on the Teva site.

Backcountry.com have them illustrated twice as they are different sizes being an 8.0 and an 11.0 or 11.5 they are priced differently that is all, the larger size are at a run out price. There is no difference in the shoe as such.

THE Whitewater Rafting shoe

By:
December 29, 2009

I've used regular Chacos and Tevas for guiding rafts for years and I've always been proud of my tan lines from those shoes. But I've never been happy when a stick gets rammed into my foot. So I was given a pair of these while working at USNWC and have loved them ever since. They dry super fast & no more worry of sticks or getting my toes cut on any stray debris in the river. Sure they may not be right for everyone but for me I wear them anytime I hit the river!

You might get a little heel slippage. The Sunkosi fits a little wide.

got em, love em

I loved my pair so much, that my boyfriend ordered these ones. We use them for kayaking and swimming in lakes where the rocks are less than friendly. I love how the water just passes through them and almost eliminates the drag that's caused when you wear shoes or sandals swimming. I highly recommend these shoes!

These shoes are very comfortable. In wet areas water will get in but they dry fast and are everything I expected from a water shoe.
