Teva Raith Hiking shoes..

  • Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit:True to size
  • Height: 5'9"
    Weight: 162 lbs
    Size Purchased: 10.5

Comfortable shoe but a bit too hot for Phoenix in the summer. I will reserve them for fall and winter use only.

I am interested in maybe trying Teva shoes but a little cautious and I wear 8.5 wide and a medium pronator so would these shoes work?

If you are a true wide then this will likely be too tight for you as they are a standard D width.

I'm familiar with Keen but want to try Teva. Does anyone know if they are similar in size?

I have a wide foot, but I have found both Keen and Teva's true to size.

Good solid shoe

The Raith eVent shoe was surprisingly lighter than I expected compared to other shoes I have had in the past. It is comfortable. Did a 3 mile hike in them to break them in and they performed great. Shoe is solid and comfortable.

    Buying Second Pair

These shoes have saved my feet. Great support and they keep my feet dry. Not a good boot for cold weather but for nine months of the year my feet have never been happier. These shoes make you walk with a very natual heel/toe stride.

My first pair still look pretty good, but I wear them to work four or five days a week and I want to rotate things around a bit.

I am over 50 years old and was starting to have problems with my feet but these shoes have been fantastic and no more sore feet!

My review is based on the difference between the mid raiths and my old pair of mid ll beans. While the old LLs were waterproof, they were full leather and didn't breath. These raiths breath like a pair of lungs. I have hot feet and can normally hike in 3 season boots in the winter, which also mean they sweat profusely. I hiked two high peaks in the ADK in the spring in these. Adk mud, ice and snow, and my feet were dry as a bone. They breath great and are completely waterproof. I have a pair of mountaineering boots with eVent and breath the same way.
After reviewing the comments on the some keens and the merrel moabs, I went with these because they seemed to offer more support on the sole. Other boots soles seemed to soft for me and might not be as comfortable on longer hikes.
Looking forward to trying these out on a 28 mile hike coming up. Hopefully, my review will stay the same and I'll continue to love these!

        Teva makes the best shoes

These boots are fantastic. I have never worn a more comfortable shoe. This is the first pair of shoes that i have owned that do not hurt my feet even after walking around all day. I really cannot say enough good things about these boots. They also keep water out very well.
