Teva P-1 Water Shoe - Men's - 2008 BCS

Got to use these on the Chattooga River the weekend after they came in. Very comfortable, I wore them all day and hardly knew they were there at the end of the day. They gripped the rocks very well on portages, but the soles are not stiff enough for long portages in rocky terrain. Overall, they were very comfortable and did everything I expected a neoprene bootie to do with some added protection. I'm looking forward to using them again next time.

I like these wet socks. At first I thought the sizing was incorrect but these socks stretched and somewhat formed to my feet. I have lots of time on them and they hold up great, are comfortable, and have awesome traction. I literally do not even know there on! I was able to walk down a stretch of rapids without falling or slipping. Keep in mind that there isn’t much for support, it’s just like you’re walking bare foot. I was aware of this, but support wasn’t much concern. I wanted something light, not bulky but be able to walk around without slipping, and something to pack tightly.

The Spider Rubber sole was grippy enough for the Middle Fork of the Salmon, Westwater, and Cataract canyons this summer. For bony CFS, I would double these up with a pair of Chacos to keep your feet well protected. The sole is just not thick enough to be walking or protecting your feet from the river floor if you flip. Can't beat the price when compared to other water shoes I've seen.
