Guide Thong Sandal - Women's

The Teva Women's Guide Thong Sandal has a burly rubber sole for superior durability and traction to handle mild-mountainous terrain. Don't be fooled by it's classification as a flip-flop, this sandal supports and protects to the extreme. Completely effortless to slip on and off, the Guide Thong Sandal has a clever retention strap with a spring loaded metal cam buckle to quickly secure your instep for added support. The tacky runner top sole helps your foot grip the sandal and not slide around, and in spite of the Thong Sandal's burly sole and bomber construction, it weighs only 12oz. On the trail or in the water, this Teva thong meets the needs of canyon trekkers and river floaters.

Bottom Line: Hike and float in the supportive and durable Teva Guide Thong.

The new Guide Thong. Well lets see how to put this... if you actually work on the river or even if your sandals get wet, I hate to break it to you...but this sandal doesn't work! The old model (blue for men, red for women) with the plastic buckle works great! In fact i'm trying to find a new pair. This one however, with the metal buckle and 'leather' band does not work at all when wet. It slides right out and does not stay tight when you need it to!

Bomber flip flops! They are some pricey thongs, but they rock. A supportive but comfy foot bed can either hang loose, or cling to your peds by adjusting the instep strap. Comfortable/supportive enough for all day wear, but still not quite stable enough for serious river walking or hiking (but close). A perfect compromise between traditional river sandals and flip flops.

It's a good quality sandal for the price. Is true to size and I love the retention strap. You don't have to worry about your sandal slipping off while you are trying to push your boat off from the dock, or loosing it in the water for those emergency dives or being pulled off in rushing waters.
