My absolute favorite shoe!

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit:Runs large

I have had a pair of the previous version of this shoe since May of 2009. When I am not working or running, I pretty much wear these shoes non-stop between the months of April and November. They do hold water, but I've gotten used to it. They do stink, but again, you get used to it and just wash them every once in awhile. They're great for hiking, kayaking, rafting, camping, and just wearing as an everyday shoe. Needless to say, my pair is pretty worn out and I just purchased a pair of the Dozer 3's. I have no doubt that they will be just as great and will last me for many years. I typically wear an 11.5 in regular shoes, and I wear an 11 in these and the fit is great.

Non paddle, paddle shoes

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times
  • Fit:True to size

I got these for kayaking. I was only doing day trips so I was not initially too concerned about the reported water logging. However, these do hold onto water In a serious manner. I'm not really sure how they are offered as water sport shoes.

When dry they are nice enough saddles but mine stunk to high hell after 1summers use. I would pass and go with other options.

They get the job done

I don't wear these for long trips or usually even days in a row so drying/stink hasn't been an issue with mine like some of the other reviews. I use mine for day hikes, trips to the dog park, floating the Weber, and even fly fishing. I don't necessarily recommend them for fishing as they can be very slippery but it's something I've learned to deal with. For the other activities these are great. Very comfortable, true to maybe a half size small.

    Pass on these

Dont get these wet. They take forever to dry and stink something godawful when they do dry. I've never had an issue with any teva's stinking up like these. I tried all the usual stuff dunking in bleach, sun drying etc.. the funkiness is on a completely different level. Even if you dont think your shoes get funky. Skip these. Get a different teva.

      Would not recommend

At first I liked the shoes as they looked good and were comfortable. But after a few days use in very wet conditions my feet had sores from the sandals. Also, the sandals do not dry quickly enough to be an aquatic shoe. I was using the shoes for kayaking, and I was greatly disappointed. I will be returning them.

        Fantastic Quality Shoes!

I bought these shoes for my husband for a tubing trip we're going to take this summer. The price was too good to pass up, and they're nice looking shoes. As luck would have it, one week after lightning quick shipping from Back Country, my husband twisted his ankle and it became too swollen to wear his work boots. He wore these Teva's since they were the only shoes he owns that he could get off & on over his swollen foot. He loves these shoes already, and we haven't even taken them to the river yet! Since then, two of his co-workers have also ordered some, because everyone just likes them so much. I highly recommend these shoes (although I do NOT highly recommend you twist your ankle just for an excuse to wear them to work!) :)

          Even better....

Bought these based on having a pair of the earlier Dozers, which I loved. I think these are great sandals and even better than my old ones. Be warned that the back heel strap is different on this model and there is quite a soft cushion in the heel, which unfortunately led to some blisters on my first day walking around in them. I think I'll eventually manage to work them in andd I'll be patient because these are great sandals. The new ones have a better all-round tread (much better for water) and are still light, tough and even more athletic.
