Aravalli Shoe - Men's

Heavy, stiff hiking boots are a drag when you're traveling fast and light on the trail, especially under a hot summer sun. Breathable mesh uppers and shock-absorbing EVA midsoles on the Teva Men's Aravalli Shoes combat foot sweat and fatigue. Teva made the Aravalli Shoes with polyurethane EVA units in the heel cups which transfer impact throughout the footbed and provide greater spring for your forefoot push-offs. What this means for you is comfortable landings and more energy return for takeoffs. Synthetic and open mesh uppers help your feet stay cool all day, and pull-cord laces make for quick adjustments.

Bottom Line: Less foot sweat and more takeoff spring.

So far, so good

For the price, these shoes are fantastic. Easily more supportive than pair of Nikes I have that are basically built like ballet slippers. I don't think they are made for intensive hiking/excursions/trail running but I got them for walking and casual wear, and I think they'll do just fine for that.

Great shoe but what's with the shape?

No complaints about these shoes. The mesh breathes really well and the tread is nice and deep for scrambling over unkempt trails. Virtually zero time to break in. I'm taking away a star because they seem too wide in the toe box than usual. Just look at the picture of the sole and it's pretty obvious.

UPDATE-- about 30 miles on these shoes and both soles started to majorly split off. Major win for backcountry's return policy!

Those sizes are out of stock. The best thing is just jump on "live chat" and ask them. They'll be able to look up if there are any on order and a rough expected arrival date.

Comfort and durability

I have an older variant of these which I use for hiking, exercising, and long walks. They are super comfortable and provide great support. They are also easy to clean. I've had mine for three years and although they've got a lot of miles on them, they're still looking good. I used these in Singapore in the middle of summer when it was hot and very damp; the mesh and overall lightweight build lends itself to quick drying. If these ever wear out I'll buy another pair.
