Don't let your feather-light shelter catch the wind.
- Titanium makes these stakes both strong and lightweight
- Choose the 1g 12cm stakes, the 2g 13cm stakes, or the 5.5g 15cm stakes based on your required level of security vs. weight savings
- Color-coated hooks on the 1g and 2g stakes increase visibility when packing up in the morning

The lightest tent stakes...
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
At 1 gram each, these are likely the lightest stakes on the market. However, I would be very reluctant to use these to actually pitch my tarp/tent with in anything other than optimal weather conditions. Instead,I will use these to simply stake down an inner net tent under my tarp.
These are quite thin (as seen in my photo), however, at only 1 gram each, they are expected to be thin. They could be bent rather easily, however, if they do become bent, they would be easy to bend back without little effort. Saying this, these will work best in softer ground.
I am really happy that TN has decided to paint the ends of these orange to help with visibility on them (considering they are so thin), but I will admit, I wish it was a brighter color orange rather than the duller color that they are.
All in all, I will give them 5 stars. They are what they are, and with the color coating on them, and still at only 1 gram, that is saying something. They are delicate, but this is the nature of their design. Users should consider this before they purchase them...
Terra Nova 1 g stave vs others...
L to R: 1 g Terra Nova ti skewer stake; 6.25 g Lawson Kline ti shepherd hook stake; 5.5 g MSR Carbon Core stake
1 gram Terra Nova stakes
- Gender: Male
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
These are exactly what I was looking for. I needed a light duty stake for tarp door tie outs and these fit the bill perfectly. I would not recommend them for anything with heavy tension or in a strong wind situation, but overall they fit the bill perfectly
