Cover your foot with the Tecnica Moon Boot and add original seventies style to your winter outfit. The Moon Boot has a plush inner liner and a nylon upper to keep your feet warm and dry before or after a long day on the slopes.
the most comfortable thing you can put on your feet in the winter, period. They instantly warm my feet up after a cold day of skiing, and they are perfect for shoveling, running out to get wood, or if you want to wear a skirt in the winter but are worried your legs will get cold. If you are wearing Moon Boots, they will not! Seriously, though, I hope they stay in style forever because I am never without a pair in the winter. And like Jess said, they are light and pack really well. They are not waterproof but are fairly water resistant--just don't go sloshing through huge puddles or anything in them and you'll be good.
This maybe a stupid question, but I honestly cannot figure out which boot goes on which foot! I have been staring at them and trying them on both feet and I just can not tell!! Am I missing something that indicates which foot they go on?
That's the best part about Moon Boots. There is no Right or Left! This is how they've always been since they launched in 1970. It's part of what makes them so fun and unique.

I am a UK small 8. I have found the last pair of the style i want in Size 39/41...will these fit? I actually prefer my boots to be snug but obviously not too small. Anyone help as i have had confusing conflicting advice. Thanks :)
I feel taking off your boots at the end of the day after skiing is the best part of the day, while others say putting in their moonboots is the best part of the day. I personally cannot get around the way they look, but the roomer is that you actually can defy gravity and feel like you are walking in the moon while you have these incredible futuristic gems on you feet. Apollo we have liftoff
So I am looking to buy some moon boots, but I am not sure what size to get? I wear between a 9 and a 10 usually in sneakers....so what size would be best for me?
Ever wish you could wear your slippers after skiing? No you can and look good too. I live in these boots in the winter. They truly feel like slippers. After a long day skiing, there isn't anything better than slipping your foot into a moon boot. They are also great for traveling because they are so light weight.
Have you ever wished you could wear your slippers outside all winter long? Now you can. The moon boot feels like wearing the softest, warmest, most comfortable slipper all day long! It is so nice to slip into moon boots after a long day of skiing.
Yes, I am a male ski bum, and yes, I own a pair of Moon Boots. I gotta level with ya - I absolutely love 'em! They were super comfy right out of the box, and without a definite left or right boot, I found myself switching them up accidentally each time I put them on. To solve this issue, I just took a sharpie and marked L and R in the top of the cuff.
As far as sizing goes, they fit a little big due to the sizeable volume, and the foam will definitely pack out after some time wearing them. So, try the 39/41 and give it a few days/weeks of breaking in...
I wear a US 8, and got a 39/41 (mostly because they didn't have any other sizes). I have large calves and have no problem with the leg opening, I just don't tighten the upper lace. I made the mistake of not tying the bottom laces tight and went for about a 4 hour walk. My feet, especially my heels were KILLING ME! I plan on getting insoles to help with the cushioning, but my feet were toasty warm, and I still love them! :)
I have wide calfs and small feet (women's size 6). Are these flexible enough to accomodate my needs? My goal is to put these on when going out to shovel or snowblow snow-I've already read that these are waterproof.
Yes, these will accommodate small feet with big calves - the "leg" part of the boot is quite roomy because it's simply foam going straight up from the foot. There's no shape to the boot (which is why they look so fabulous). You can make it tighter by tightening the strings. I would say, that as much as I LOOOOVE my moon boots (mostly for style), they can be a little tricky to move around in at times. I have to walk a little wider because the boot is "thick" and I have slipped on packed snow before, so for shoveling, there may be better (more functional) boot options. For style - these win, hands down!
These are the most comfortable cold weather boots in the world. I used to wear them when I was in Switzerland (back in the US now). They are very very light, but very waterproof and amazingly warm, I got away with even not putting on socks and my feet were never cold, feet might get hot if it isn't that cold out. They have great gripping power I give this boot an A+
I've been dreaming about these for a few years now.. So very glad I finally got a pair! They are very warm and toasty, My feet were totally comfortable at -20F. I am able to drive a manual transmission vehicle without too much trouble, if I'm not sloppy about my foot placement. It's not uncomfortable to drive in them. I love that I can just slip them on and head out the door. I wish the size ranges were a little closer together, they're a little sloppy, but that definitely emphasizes the slipper-comfy feel. They're super cute, and I've gotten lots of positive comments (I've got the bright red ones). Definitely the best winter boot I've found. Our snow is fairly dry, so I don't know how they'd do in really wet conditions, but the rubberier(?) coated bottom part would probably keep most of the moisture at bay. I love them!
I'm generally a true size 9. My friend is an 8 1/2 and said her boots, size 39/41, fit her loosely, and thinks It would be good for me too.... any thoughts?
Valerie If were you I would try the next size up -- I wear a 8 and the 39-41 fits great -- my daughter wears a size 8.5 and she thought they were too small for her. there is a lot of fuzzy inside so you need to try them on and see. They are the greatest!
I bought these for my wife and she loves them. She normally wears an 8.5, so I went with the 39/41 and they fit well. All the foam keeps her feet nice and warm. Definitely recommended.
i am so happy with my moon boots! they are fabulous! they fit perfectly and they are so comfortable, i cant wait to try them out in the snow. and they got here so fast! thanks so much!
I bought my first pair of moon boots in 1979 in Andorra and after they finally wore out I purchased another pair. They've really not changed a bit. Still comfortable, warm, keep my feet dry and are perfect for cold and snowy weather! They are very light weight, and despite being large and chunky, I can still drive in them without difficulty. Hope this pair lasts as long as my last ones!
7 you always want a little extra room in your boots but not too much. I always go up a half size and the bulk of the hiking socks fill up most of the extra room
Honestly, Moon Boots are really fabulous. They may look funky but let me tell you, your feet stay warm and completely comfortable. I wear them everywhere! I drive in them without a problem. They are like snow slippers and I enjoy the snow much more when I am wearing them.
get the 39/41 i'm ordering my second pair of moon boots and even if they are a little big its not much of a difference at all because of all the padding and pillowy like inside (:
I would recommend the 42-44; they might feel snug at first but the inside liner is soft and comfy, and they do pack out a teeny bit with use. Enjoy! I LOVE my Moon Boots!
I'm trying to buy a pair of green moon boots for my girlfriend, she thinks these boots are absolutely the best thing she's ever put on her feet but she's never been able to find green ones in her size or in stock anywhere, she is living in new zealand, do you guys ship there or would i have to buy them from you and get them shipped to Canada and then send them to her? and if so, could you gift wrap em?
Your best bet is to jump on "live chat" and ask those folks. They'll be able to look up if there are any Green boots on order and if so, they can give you an idea of roughly when they'll be in stock. These guys will ship straight to New Zealand no problem and yes, they can do a gift box, and I think possibly wrap but double check with the folks on live chat for that.
Got some action when I brought these home for my wife. She was even more stoked when she opened her fashion magazine toting Moon Boots that were already in her closet. Really, she loves the uniqueness and comfort.
These are really comfy and warm boots for the winter! I actually wore them when it rained in California and they definitely kept my feet dry! I'll be enjoying them in cold Michigan soon!
I an impressed however I do not know how they will truly be until winter comes.however I like the look so much I am looking for the model called the street in brick color-on line many other stores seem to have it in about every size but 42-44 these boots run more like the sizing is made for men not women-tip order yours on the 1 size down scale=backcountry were very pro about the whole experience of my purchase-In closing as above I would like to order the street in brick 42-44 at the price all the other quality shops are doing them for-79.95-119.95 maybe back country will do a price match-your cust serv team seems to be reluctant because we were 1 size apart.IT,S just good business another exellent site have them for 79.95 .back country what can you do for repeat cust-all in all very good
Sorry the moon boots were perfect received fast shipment to Canada, but I have to return them because they are too big for my daughter. Thankyou for the excellent service
I had some years ago......I think they were red and blue very lightweight , waterproof, but warm................. lots .less expensive, with removable lining, nylon shell any idea what I am referring to?
So ya I get alot of crap from my friends about these boots, but for the record these are the warmest, most comfortable shoes that I own. They are perfect for the super gnarly weather we get here in Utah. Plus, I love to see people laugh when I wear them. Laughing with me...right?
These boots are SUPA CUTE-as well as being SUPA warm, comfy and perfect for cold days, snowy days and even rainy days. They are a bit bulky to walk around the city in (i live in nyc) but still doable (i do it!). I get a lot of stares but I love them so much-makes me feel like an anime character...just know that if you want them, you will look ridiculous, but feel so cute and be warm. I wear size 8 US and I got mediums-they are perfect!
Can't be without them. Been using for decades. Wear them all winter; snow or not, they keep my feet warm AND lower the heating bills. Now in cool colors. Viva Moon Boots!
I know guys who wear these boots and love them! They just have to be secure with themselves and ready to rock them--use the Euro sizing, and just order the size that would fit the guy. Unisex for SURE!! (maybe not the pink ones, but there are plenty of manly colors--they guys I know rock the black usually, but one extremely flamboyand Australian that I know likes to wear the white ones!)
the most comfortable thing you can put on your feet in the winter, period. They instantly warm my feet up after a cold day of skiing, and they are perfect more...
