Dragon 100 UltraFit Ski Boot - Men's

Sport boots don’t provide the performance you are looking for. Race boots are fine until your toenails fall off. Tecnica designed the Dragon 100 UltraFit Ski Boot with a modified Race-Pro last, so advanced intermediate and expert skiers can comfortably wear a high-performance boot all day long.

  • Dragon last is slightly wider at the toe box (than the Race Pro last) and has a more upright stance, so you won’t have a permanent limp after a full day
  • Adjustable flex allows you to fine-tune the feel of the shell
  • 3-Position catch buckles accommodate different leg shapes
  • Carbon Steel Buckles increase strength and lower profile improves aerodynamics
  • Hook-and-loop rear spoiler is adjustable so you can customize fit
  • 100mm last can fit widths B through D
  • UltraFit2 liner provides superior heel hold and foot envelopment

Bottom Line: A Formula One car with leather bucket seats and climate control.

Okay boot...

I started with the 90, which was to soft and decided to move up into 100... unfortunately, there was not a huge difference. This is a comfortable that will allow you to go all day long, even if you are pushing it hard. I ski the AC50 which is a very stiff ski that where a powerful medium, which this boot does not seem to have,

I agree - Tecnica I think overrates their flex indexes compared to other brands. The ratings seem to usually be bloated by 10 or 20 points

Super Comfy & High Performance

By:
December 14, 2009

I was really impressed with how well these boots performed given how comfortable they are. They are incredibly stiff, so you get the performance you want, but somehow they feel like your feet are wrapped in a comfy, almost gel-like substance. Rode in them yesterday for the first day of the season and it was the first time my feet weren't killing me by noon. I get that with my snowboard boots on the first day of the season and I've had them broken in for years. One word of warning - you can't heat these up to form them like typical ski boots. The salesguy at a ski shop in Tahoe almost torched a pair of these trying to do it. The good news is that they form to your feet so good, you don't need a custom fit job.

I recently bought Tecnica Dragon 100 boots, I have skied 3 days

I recently bought Tecnica Dragon 100 boots, I have skied 3 days over the last few weeks, 5 hours each day, they hurt my feet, but gradually are getting better. I am going to Colorado next week, I am concerned they will hurt if i ski in them all day for 6 days. How long should they take to break in? Are there any tricks on breaking them in?

Well Ken,
it's a hard one, first off - some boots just don't fit. i always recommend going to master boot fitter. it truly is an art getting a boot to fit just right. can you be more specific what is hurting on your feet? what are you feeling? if you can tell me more i can help you out.

Stiff?

By:
January 11, 2010

First off, This is a very good boot as long as it fits your foot. 100 mm last, high instep, wider toe box. Some say that it seems bigger than a 100 last but I believe that is from inscrease volume in the instep and toe box. I am personally a little thrown off by comments on how stiff this boot is. My only gripe about this boot is actually this flex. It is softer than the competitors boots with a 100 rated flex. I would rate it 80-90. Great boot but if you want a stiff boot look at the higher models of the dragon.

Tecnica Dragon 100

This is my second season on these boots. I tried on a lot of different boots until I found these. I wanted a stiff boot because I like to feel the terrain and ski interaction. I have skied a lot of demo equipment where the boots felt more like hiking boots. But with these, your subtle leg movements are transferred to the skis for wonderful control. I went with a performance fit which is a size smaller than my measured foot and I replaced the factory foot bed with a custom one. They fit incredibly snug with out any discomfort. I wear a Smart Wool sock and my feet stay warm, sometimes to warm when I ski hard. I love these boots and can wear them all day with out having to unbuckle them. Besides being an incredibly comfortable, warm and snug these boots look great!
