Perfect Inbounds Boot

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

I'm 185 lbs in the winter and tend to flex a boot with my skiing. I'll use gs skis and pow skis and everything in between. This boot is stiff enough for them all. Maybe I wouldn't spend a lot of time in the park with them though. I wouldn't tour with them either. But inbounds hikes are home to this boot. They grip ice and rock and walk exceptionally well for a riveted cuff at 130 flex. The other really cool part about this boot is the sole interchangeability. Tecnica makes canted toe and heel lugs to accommodate cant fitting. I'm bow legged. Best boot ever.

Perfect Inbounds Boot

Great boot!

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

I've had these boots for a couple seasons now, and I'd be hard pressed to say another would have done the job. First off this boot is stiff, not something for a beginner, but a very versatile boot for an aggressive or bigger skier. This is essentially the Cochise without a walk mode, making it feel stiffer and giving it a consistent flex feel. You can still swap out the soles between an alpine and tech sole block. I wouldn't recommend it for someone looking to do a lot of touring it, but the fact that you can swap those out is helpful for someone doing the occasional tour. I travel a lot so most of the time bringing more than one boot isn't an option. The lack of a walk mode doesn't make this the ideal choice for touring, but I use this boot for shorter hikes and unbuckle the upper to give some freedom of movement there. Any hikes longer than a couple hours and you'll see some blistering issues, but it's not really what this boot was built for anyway. As a daily driver it's the perfect boot. Stiff flex, supportive, and great energy transfer to the ski.

Great Boot for Expert Skier

  • Familiarity:I returned this product before using it

These boots are bomber stiff...130 feels like 150 and I can barely flex them; and I weigh 200 lbs. They are fairly narrow, but not too narrow like some other boots out right now. They fit my medium to high arch feet pretty well without cutting off circulation.

If you like skiing fast, then definitely get these. If you are timid, then get a flex you can handle. Other 130 boots do not feel this stiff.

I am on the fence deciding between these...

I am on the fence deciding between these and the cochise 130s. I am an expert level skier, big guy 6'3 245 want a stiff boot that I can hike in for some side country access with my marker dukes.
