I really like this shoe for trail running. It is wicked light and the "Rolling System" really does improve my stride. I was able to slip them on and run 5 miles with no blisters or discomfort. Awesome shoe!

I am sorry to write a bad review. This would be my first on this site. I read the other reviews and thought I would give this shoe a try. I normally buy TNF but was seeking a more attractive shoe with possibly a longer lasting sole.
I took these out of the box and thought they had sent the wrong size. HUGE Oh, but I put them on and they fit just wonderful in width and length. I mean who cares if they look huge if they improve your running-I am way back in the hills-who is going to see me.
I put them on and while the fit was great my ankles cocked in towards eachother. No place on the decription does it say these are for certain feet, my stride and placement are normal and these turned my knees down, inward. OK-maybe this is still a good shoe. I do not wear low socks so was not worried about the other review-however, as to not ruin the shoe I took it for a tryout on a tredmill. Within two mile the backs of my ankles were rubbing raw. There is a very hard band in the back and I have no idea how other people do not feel this. I put bandaids on and could not even finish 3 miles. These shoes are the worst piece of junk I have ever purchased. I am sorry to say this but I have never in all my 47 years had a shoe do what this shoe did to my feet in a very short time.
Dumb looking shoe, cocks ankles inwards and rubs bandaids off your heels. Pass on this shoe.

Hi Jeanette, You can certainly try these shoes and send them back if you don't like them...but I might recommend Pearl Izumi Syncro floats...I think I'm on my 4th pair. They are a little lighter than these, which is recommended for walking, and the fit is ultra comfy--there's no "breaking them in." You want a lot of flex and I'm not sure if this trail show will provide it. Cheers!

They really do make you put your weight forward so it carries your momentum forward which I think made me a better runner. But do NOT make the mistake of wearing ankle socks with these or else you will pay with one bloody shoe, or make that TWO bloody shoes. OUCH!! Definitely wear socks to cover the achilles.

Yes, definitely. These are fast and lightweight. The rockered shape which propels you forward, even pressure distribution and lateral stability can be appreciated by all levels of runners. Tecnica has been making footwear for ages, you will be pleasantly surprised with the attention of detail that go into these babies.

Best trail running shoe I have ever owned! Super light and extremely comfortable. Forms right to your foot. The TRS rolling system really works and you can tell an instant difference between other trail running shoes. I did my research before I purchased and I am extremely happy with my decision. I ordered a half size smaller than normal and they fit perfect.
