Whether you're setting up in a shack course-side or in your garage, the Swix Wax Table is an easy, convenient place to wax your skis. Featuring a removable wooden work surface and two adjustable heights, the Swix Wax Table is easy to clean and set up. Attach the 3-part XC Profile Vices and you'll have a top notch waxing setup that can break down to fit in your trunk or backseat. Table dimensions are 30cm x 120cm.
This is kinda heavy, but otherwise its your basic smaller tuning table. I like the Toko vices, and didn't wanna pay three bills for their table, so I've done the dispicable deed of mixing brands. Whatever. This is nice to take to races, or even to use in your basement. Cool feature: the legs micro-adjust for the terrain your on. If your going to use on snow, even hardpack, consider laying a piece of plywood down so your feet don't drive into the ground.

You'll probably want to get vises for this table. You need to make sure the ski doesn't move, pivot, turn, whatever, while you wax. Just make sure the set you get accepts your binding.
I finally purchased a tuning table after years of using my stove and the counter across from it to tune my snowboards. Be sure you buy the correct vise for your equipment. This table works quite well but if you don't have the snowboard in a more centered position, it could tip on you while scraping wax. Apparently Swix has a snowboard specific table. It's also quite heavy for a product that is supposed to be portable. It does fold up nicely. We have a limited work space so it's nice to break it down and set it in a corner. If you're looking to set up a temporary space to work in then this is a worthy product.
Is this too long for a snowboard if I lay it length-wise? If so and I lay a snowboard perpendicular to the length of the table, would it be too unstable? What's a good alternative for both snowboards and skis? Thanks.
Well you have a few options. You could buy Swix's snowboard specific table which will solve your problem. Which is this link:http://www.backcountry.com/store/SWI0295/Swix-Snowboard-Table.htmlor you could add vises to the table pictured which is also a great option. I've got 3 boys who are ski racers. This table gets a lot of use tuning the numerous skis in our house. It comes with a great heavy duty travel bag. I've been eyeing the rack accessory for it for stashing skis while you are tuning. Great product... sturdy, stable, and well thought out.
