    Swix sticks.

Schuss your way down the mountain with a pair of Swix Women's W1 Advanced Composite Ski Poles. These poles are made with a lightweight composite material, and feature Swix's ergonomically designed D5 handle. You'll hardly notice the wide Sonic Comfort straps, unless you drop one of your poles, and the included standard baskets match the handle for a color coordinated look.

    Disappointed

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

The description says the standard baskets match the handle - they don't, the handle is a faded pink color - like a pencil eraser and the basket is purple plastic. The reason I was disappointed with these poles is because as soon as I got them I put them in my Dakine rolling ski bag and put them on a plane to Denver. When we got to Vail and I took my poles out, I saw that after only one plane ride the baskets were crushed and now there are white-ish stress lines in the purple plastic - the baskets should have been made out of something with more give than hard plastic (like maybe rubber or softer plastic). I've owned 2 other pairs of ski poles for about 10 years each and have taken them on planes many times and have never had this happen before. I have flown with these Swix poles twice since the 1st time and they look worse and worse each time I unpack them. I have a feeling they will fall apart soon.
