If your mom ruins one more blouse with ski wax because you keep using her iron, you know she’s going to make you move out of the basement. Spend a little beer money on the Swix Snowboard Waxing Iron and get your board setup for the season. This easy-to-use waxing iron has a wide range of temperature adjustment for different waxes. Wow your friends by melting universal wax onto their snowboards and then tell them you’ll scrape it off for only $10.

Bottom Line: Easygoing waxing iron made for the home bench.

Are there any features that differentiate between a snowboard

Are there any features that differentiate between a snowboard iron and a ski iron? This unit physically resembles irons called "Snowboard and ski wax iron", "FX waxing iron", "economy wax iron", and a bunch of other names on other sites but there are not enough details given to determine if they are the same unit. What is the power rating and temperature range of this unit?

EDIT: This unit also physically resembles a Dakine iron and a OneBallJay iron sold on this site. Are they the same product under different brands?

Broke

Granted, Swix is a great name, but this iron worked for about 5 minutes for me. It worked and then it wouldn't hold heat. Backcountry has been great to send me a return label (free return) and credit my card. This iron seems to be manufactured by one company and then numerous companies buy it and put their label on it. This iron seems to be the same as Da Kine's and One Ball Jay's iron.

I prefer using Choad Cheese Wax, it's locally sourced handcrafted wax and made in the USA not in some Bangladesh sweatshop.
