awesome fine detail and for trail/ car
- Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer
I used to love opening a new klister box to get a scraper out. But I have plenty now.... Crucial for hard wax removal, edges (keep a couple sticky ones and a couple clean ones for different uses), and grooves, though a groove pen is more stable and reliable for most grooves.
not so much
This thing is a cheap piece of plastic
A great tool...but it should be provided free with a wax purchase
SWIX at one time provided these free with every tube of Klister your purchased. Another consumer rip off for a piece of plastic. SWIX makes great ski waxes, SWIX should consider this is part of their advertisment budget and provide it free.
But in all fairness the tool does a great job, because of all the anlges and shapes.
Just because it is plastic does not mean it is a cheap tool. Care for it well and it will last 20 years.
To reduce 'accidental loss' secure a small cord into the hole and attach to the inside of your pack for 'field clean up'

Works really well at scraping, like it should. Where it really shines through is with the knobs/angles at the edges that help with grooves and edging. Only downside is if you apply too much pressure (which you shouldn't), it may bend and weaken the plastic. Be careful and use as directed and this is a handy item to have.
Got Crud?
Pretty much a must have if your waxing/tuning your own skis/boards. Gets all the crap wax out from where it shouldn't be if your a little careless when hotwaxing after a nite of boozing!!
Takes the wax off your edges very well
Waxed my ski last night and took out this tool and was stoked I spent the 3 dollars to get it. Super easy to use and makes sure you clean just the edges of your ski or board and not the base of that fresh wax.
Will this work with a snowboard?
Will this work with a snowboard?
Yup, I use it to dig wax out of grooves in the base and along edges.
