Swix made the Comp CT5 Skate Ski Poles for cross country skiers who are looking for strong, light, non-bank-breaking poles for skate skiing workouts. Carbon composite keeps the pole stiff and light, but costs far less than competitive models. Unfortunately height is not the only factor for determining pole length. However if you are just getting started you can get a good fit by measuring the distance from the floor to the tip of your nose.The Vitane are supposed to be women specific while the elite's are mens. On that note I've never been able to tell the difference between a womens specific and mens specific ski.
