GPS POD Quirk Solved

By:
March 13, 2009

If the GPS pod does not acquire a signal in two minutes... Pull the batteries from the pod and start it up again. A hard reset does the trick. Otherwise it is a great alternative which you can actually wear to work without looking like you have a brick strapped to your wrist. I have the black on black model. I love the large numbers and simple design. Start buying AAAs to power the pod... Life is approximately 9 hours.

How non-water proof are we talking? Somewhere between no lap

How non-water proof are we talking? Somewhere between no lap swimming, kayaking or no running in the rain? Any specifics would be great. Thank.

It is rated water resistant to 30m. That means it should hold up to everyday wear, rain, showering and bathing but no swimming and probably no kayaking either. For swimming and kayaking you'd want something rated at least 50m water resistant and maybe up to 100m water resistant.

t3c Multisport... real happy

By:
September 8, 2008

I recently got the t3c Multisport pack, mostly for the watch and GPS. It has worked out just as I had hoped. The GPS sync's smoothly with the watch and I have had no problem with the signal... though I have only used it in urban areas. But it tracks pace, distance, etc both for runs and rides. Very functional if you don't want to get the Foot Pod and the Cycle Pod. Only complaint is on the watch, it is real sensitive to bumps. It does not take much of a knock to reset the clock. Nothing permanent but definitely annoying to have to reset once or twice a day.

The software available from Suunto.com is only PC compatible.

But Suunto is launching a web-based software, set to released May 7th, on movescount.com, that will be usable by both Mac and PC users
