I had the same problem with my Suunto Belt, changed to battery several times but I have been using my watch with the T31 belt for several years and it works great.

Yes, I replaced the battery per Suunto's instructions and the result is the same, it still says "check belt". I used this belt with no problems for 5 months and then all of a sudden it stopped working.

I got this because the price was pretty good,and it has just enough functions,so it is simple to use.I agree the face does scratch easy!It was fun seeing how many calories I burned on a 10 hour ski tour.

The Suunto T1c won't sync to this monitor. The t3c, t4c and t6c do have sync-ability, but I believe it's only to other Suunto pods, for speed and distance.

Love it, has a few more functions than I need, one downer the face does seem to scratch easy. I have the espresso and white one and have been wearing it as my everyday watch just because I think it is cute but they face is starting to show a little wear and tear. The chest belt is much more comfortable and accurate than the other two brand's I have used.

Pretty basic HRM - and a good looking watch. Plenty of settings for customization (personal, zones, etc...) and good tracking over time. Haven't had any issues with strap sensitivity.
One downside - can only review the very last session - would be nice if it could store a few more...

The watch look good, however it is white, not grey/ metallish, and less streetwise than it looks on the image.
Rating not considering performance.

Just be very careful with the seal when you put back the cover piece. Otherwise, it could compromise the waterproofness of the watch. But yes, on this topic, Suunto is definitely way better than Polar, you can perform the change of battery in less than 1 minute. Possible to do it with a quarter coin, but better to use the small dedicated tool.

Suunto (and just about every other HR monitor maker) capitalized on the fact that Polar charged an arm and a leg to replace a battery and decided to design their products so users could replace them.This model has user replaceable batteries in both the wristop computer and the chest strap.
