Whether you're a longboarder-at-heart, vet, or newbie, you'll appreciate the Surftech McTavish Carver TL Surfboard, inspired by Bob McTavish's original longboard design. Its reliable bottom shape features a three-stage rocker, single-to-double concaves, and bevels that enable the Carver to excel in small to large surf. Run it with a center fin, dual with trailer, or tri setup depending on the conditions or simply on how you feel that day.

  • Three-stage rocker allows a quick drop into the wall while the rail bevels and single-to-double concave shape offer stellar control
  • Mal-like design allows you to paddle out and into surf easier
  • Rear rocker gives you more action than a night in Vegas
  • Durable, strong, and lightweight Tuflite EPS (fused-cell) core with epoxy coating won't absorb water nearly as much as traditional polystyrene cores and helps prevent deck denting or pressure dings
  • Rounded pin tail permits the board to hold well in the wave's pocket and provides a smooth rail-to-rail feel
  • FCS tri-fin setup mounted right under your foot provides primo stability and control

not a round pin tail

  • Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

The 7'6" MAY be a round pin but the 8' is NOT, it's a rounded squash tail, despite repeated confirmations from DF, WM, and every picture available. WTF? Why is this so hard to get accurate?

Haven't ridden it yet so can't speak to the whole, but I'm pissed my 8' purchase didn't arrive as advertised.

It's your own fault for not doing your research, I can't believe anyone would buy a board on here without looking at the shapers site. Mctavish site clearly shows what the 8' is:
